We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Executive Benefits/COLI Case Design Analyst to join our Executive Benefits Unit in Newport Beach, CA.
As a Sr. Executive Benefits/COLI Case Design Analyst, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by supporting the growth of Pacific Life's COLI and Corporate Sponsored Life Insurance (CSLI) sales by providing plan design and product expertise to our Executive Benefits Field Vice President (FVP). The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Private Placement COLI products & pricing mechanics, demonstrated analytical skills and strength with financial modeling in Excel and illustration software. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 3 people in the Consumer Market Division.
How you’ll help move us forward:
Work collaboratively with the FVP, advisors, and TPAs to design comprehensive executive benefit programs
Maintain strong familiarity with COLI and CSLI executive benefits products & riders
Compile data and plan design parameters from a variety of sources
Use illustration software to create new business and inforce COLI illustrations
Provide accurate deliverables, including financial analysis and proposals, in a timely manner
Assist with presentations to prospects and clients as requested
Maintain an inventory of active cases and provide periodic status updates
Coordinate with New Business teams to ensure timely policy issue, provide corrected or revised illustrations promptly when requested
Create and maintain plan documentation
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall growth of the Corporate Solutions team
Contribute to product development efforts by conducting competitive studies and recommendations for product enhancements
Promote and market Pacific Life products to win the business
The experience you bring:
4-year degree or equivalent experience
8+ years in the life insurance industry, including 5+ years in COLI Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation design
Strong knowledge of all Executive Benefits (COLI and non-COLI) products and marketplace
Ability to handle a variety of concurrent projects, servicing clients proactively, as well as reacting appropriately to changing priorities
Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and on the phone
Attention to detail
Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to organize tasks and data
Math aptitude
Proficient in life insurance illustration software; familiarity with Elective Deferral, SERP, and Split Dollar concepts and associated proposal development programs
Experience working in MS Office (particularly Powerpoint and Excel)
Position requires FINRA Series 6, 63, SIE, and Life licenses within 180 days of Start
Proficient in MS Office Suite

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
