ResponsibilitiesAbout the role:
The Senior Enterprise Resilience Analyst is a member of the Technology Resilience team within the GM Financial (GMF) Enterprise Resilience Program. Technology Resilience defines resilience requirements, standards, controls, objectives, and advises the organization on managing resilience risk in applications and infrastructure.
The Senior Analyst will primarily support Technology Resilience initiatives but may contribute to all areas of ER, including but not limited to: Policy & Governance, Operational Resilience, and Vendor Resilience.
The Senior Analyst contributes to technical planning and coordinating of the implementation of infrastructure and applications that adhere to GMF’s resilience requirements. Additionally, the Senior Analyst analyzes enterprise data to track and manage risks and remediation efforts. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for developing strong working relationships and partnerships with internal and external groups to ensure Enterprise Resilience initiatives are addressing the needs of the organization.
In this role you will:
- Drive and support the implementation of resilience requirements to protect the company from technology disruptions
- Build and aggregate enterprise data into automated dashboards for tracking resilience posture and remediation progress
- Translate complex signals into concise briefs for senior leadership
- Implement and maintain controls and policies to govern application and data resilience requirements
- Establish procedures for resilience and disaster recovery practices and maintain resilience patterns, configurations, and implementation guidelines for on-premises, Azure, and AWS environments
- Create and maintain Enterprise Resilience frameworks and documentation per evolving business needs, regulations, and best practices
- Engage with business teams to translate high-level business requirements into enterprise resilience initiatives to achieve GMF's strategic priorities
- Assess existing processes and controls using risk assessment methodologies to identify resilience opportunities
- Build partnerships with IT and Cyber risk and operational teams to accomplish enterprise resilience objectives
- Foster a strong internal network by working across the enterprise to foster a culture of trust, inclusion, engagement, and integrity
Proven experience in Enterprise Resilience, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and/or Risk Management within medium to large business environments
What makes you a dream candidate?
Strong background in supporting, operating, or architecting enterprise systems, including cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred)
- Experience working with enterprise backup and data protection solutions
- Solid understanding of Disaster Recovery, Fault Tolerance, and High Availability best practices
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps principles
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices (experience with ServiceNow preferred)
- Skilled in technical writing and documentation
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with technology advancements, emphasizing resilient implementation
- Creative and open-minded approach to problem-solving, with a track record of developing innovative solutions
- Proactive in identifying risks, driving remediation, and fostering continuous improvement.
Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred
- 4-6 years of experience in medium to large business environments
- 4-6 years of experience in one or more of the following domains: Enterprise Resilience, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Information Technology, Cybersecurity
- 3 or more years in a technology-focused role supporting operations or security, or program, project, product, or service management
- 2 or more years in a role with responsibility for analyzing and visualizing data using dashboards and business intelligence tools
Licenses & Certifications
- Related certification(s) and/or license(s) preferred, such as cloud (Azure/AWS), Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery (e.g., CBCP),
