Honeywell is looking for an experienced Sr Engineering Program Manager, leading systems definition through final delivery to customer and certification.
The successful candidate must be able to apply their experience and knowledge of Avionics System definition, design and Aircraft certification and strong project technical experience, to serve as the single point of accountability for engineering work scope.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will serve as Technical Leader and Systems leader responsible for development and certification of fully integrated avionics solutions for Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft using the latest avionics platform.
- Serve as a technical leader across programs, internally with the leadership team, and externally supporting customers, suppliers, regulators, and other stakeholders as needed.
- They own the system architecture and ensures it aligns with the program strategy and ensure selected architecture meets the agreed needs, requirements and intended functions at the integrated avionics level.
- They will own the system technical solution for their program. This includes leading/planning/supporting/coordinating the technical aspects. They must be cognizant of the status of the system in all installations and/or programs. This includes export compliance, certification, cyber, and HF.
- They own the internal and customer technical design reviews and work with the Chief to get concurrence on content and design review approach.
- Ability to describe complex technical concepts to engineering team members as well as to business and engineering stakeholders.
- Understand how System design and architecture impact the goals of the business. Analyze and attribute key operational requirements into cohesive design patterns.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Systems Applications and related systems execution processes and practices.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team – local and distributed – through complex challenges and drive the team to challenging customers commitments.
- Act as a mentor to other engineers and team members, share your skills and expertise, encourage creativity and innovation.
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Minimum 12 years of experience working various application areas supporting avionics functions
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience leading projects in a dynamic multi-functional environment.
- Experience with Part 23 General Aviation and Part 25 aircraft and whole-aircraft FAA certification programs.
