We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Manager, Sustainability, to join Honeywell Sustainability Center of Excellence (HS-CoE) in Madurai. The mission of the CoE is to drive sustainability regulatory compliance, process excellence through the application of best-in-class tools and practices and build world class domain expertise in Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Sustainability Engineering. The Senior Manager role is responsible for driving the strategies for the COE aligned to the business sustainability priorities, customer and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Drive the deployment of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and sustainability engineering practices for HON across buildings, industrial automation, process technology and automation portfolios.

• Collaborate with the R&D, engineering, and supply chain teams across businesses to drive the LCA priorities based on the customer asks and regulatory requirements.

• Establish an industry partnership with the LCA and EPD operators for scale, capability development and productivity.

• Partner with HON internal PLM teams and IT to identify synergies and develop databases and workflows for automated sustainability assessments.

• Closely follow emerging sustainability regulations, business, technological opportunities and challenges pertaining to sustainability for HON.

• Develop action plans to stay ahead in sustainability engineering and design principles

• Plan and execute Annual Operating Plan (AOP) aligned to business goals.

• Ensure sustainability programs meet all quality metrics, timelines and budgets.

• Collaborate with India business teams to write white papers on sustainable technologies and solutions offerings

• Leading continuous improvement efforts through the institutionalization of productivity practices that can accelerate sustainability assessments and reduce cycle time.

• Responsible for defining and executing the competency development plans.

• Responsible for the Honeywell Performance Development (HPD), Global Compensation Planning (GCP), Management Resource Reviews (MRR), Succession planning, Technical Resource Reviews (TRR) and rewards and recognition for the engineers in the COE

• Driving effective people practices through effective hiring strategy, rewarding, motivating & retention strategy and talent differentiation for high performance.

• A good people leader, quick to identify people problems, fosters teamwork and ensures transparency and fairness in all actions.

• Good communicator of vision, ideas and work requirement. Should have demonstrated transformational results (Innovation, Productivity, Technology) through cross collaboration

Qualifications

Engineering degree with a minimum of 15 plus years of experience in product and application development, consulting and sustainability practice

• Experience in managing large engineering teams.

• Proven record of successful cross functional experiences

• Experience in large scale EPD development

• Strong program management, process management, technology & strategy management skills

• Excellent executive communication and leadership skills

• Strong sustainability mindset: Ability to anticipate changes in customers’ needs and regulatory requirements

• Strong people skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts.

• Ability to work in highly matrix environment and manage constant change and evolution

• Strategic thinking and effective management implementation on complex project
