This is a place where people are fiercely passionate about technology and have a desire to make a difference through the application of engineering and software technologies to solve real business problems.As a Senior Engineer in our Technology Group, you will help develop AspenTech’s market-leading process simulation products. You will leverage your skills and passion to provide leadership that will help drive AspenTech’s Asset Optimization strategy.Your Impact
- Design, develop, maintain, and support process modeling technology in the next generation engineering platform.
- Collaborate with product managers, product designers and developers to develop detailed product requirements for unit operation models and solution algorithms
- Keep current with new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and academia and assist in determining the feasibility of implementing new technologies
- Masters or PhD in Chemical Engineering with expertise in mathematical modeling
- Experience with numerical methods for steady state and dynamic systems is a plus
- Experience with programming language such as Python, C#, C++ and Fortran is a plus
- Experience with simulation tools such as Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS or Aspen Custom Modeler is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills.
