We are looking for an L5 Senior Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on Workforce Management (WFM) engineering experience, with UKG Pro Workforce Management. This role focuses on designing, integrating, and supporting enterprise workforce management solutions while driving platform reliability, scalability, and automation.
Responsibilities- Design, configure, and enhance UKG Pro WFM capabilities including timekeeping, scheduling, forecasting, attendance, and advanced Scheduling
- Design, develop, and support integrations between UKG Pro WFM and enterprise systems using APIs, event-driven architectures, and Boomi Integrations.
- Troubleshoot production issues, implement enhancements, upgrades, and defect fixes, ensuring reliable platform operations through monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Build scalable, secure, and maintainable engineering solutions using modern software engineering and cloud-native principles.
- Develop and execute test cases covering functional, integration, performance, and failure scenarios.
- Create technical documentation and participate in architecture reviews, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise workforce management solutions.
- Leverage Generative AI, Agentic AI, and automation to improve engineering productivity and workforce management processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with enterprise Workforce Management platforms, UKG Pro WFM.
- Strong experience with UKG Pro WFM modules including timekeeping, scheduling, forecasting, attendance, and advanced scheduling. Accruals
- Experience designing and supporting enterprise integrations using REST APIs, JSON, authentication, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with production support, monitoring, logging, and diagnostics.
- Ability to create testable, modular, understandable, and maintainable configurations, scripts, APIs, or supporting technical components.
- Understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, secure software development, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience implementing or supporting enterprise-scale UKG Pro Workforce Management.
- Experience building Boomi Integration and Certified in Boomi Integrations
- Exposure to Java, Node.js, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or front-end technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of microservices, messaging platforms, CI/CD, cloud platforms,
- Experience applying Generative AI or intelligent automation in enterprise solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery, incident management, observability, and OWASP secure development practices.
- Deliver high-quality, scalable engineering solutions with strong ownership.
- Solve production issues, improve platform reliability, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively across teams while mentoring others and promoting engineering best practices.
Skills Required
- 4 year degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong domain-specific knowledge of Target's technology capabilities and competitors
- Working knowledge of package-specific configuration and deployment and ability to build custom solutions
- Proficiency in core development platforms and multiple programming languages, including distributed programming
- Ability to design testing methods and resolve routine and non-routine technical issues
- Experience delivering high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure systems (low latency, high throughput)
- Experience leading design, code review, testing, debugging, and architecture discussions
