Job Summary:
As Sr Engineer, Process for Backend and Semiconductor Processes, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production processes related to backend operations in semiconductor manufacturing. Your primary role will be to ensure the smooth operation of backend processes, optimize efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process Management: Develop, implement, and maintain effective processes and workflows for backend operations in semiconductor manufacturing. This includes processes such as assembly, packaging, testing, and quality control. Ensure adherence to industry standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, operators, and quality assurance personnel, to ensure the seamless integration and execution of backend processes.
- Equipment and Tooling: Identify, evaluate, and recommend appropriate equipment, tools, and materials for backend operations. Collaborate with equipment engineers to ensure optimal performance, maintenance, and calibration of equipment.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze performance metrics related to backend processes. Identify opportunities for improvement, implement corrective actions, and track progress to achieve production targets.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance measures for backend operations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and customer requirements. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve backend processes to increase efficiency, reduce cycle time, minimize defects, and optimize resource utilization. Implement best practices, automation, and process enhancements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of process parameters, specifications, and work instructions. Generate reports on process performance, yield, and quality metrics for management review.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, protocols, and environmental requirements in backend operations. Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to guidelines.
- New Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and new technologies related to backend operations in semiconductor manufacturing. Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can enhance process efficiency and product quality.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Solid understanding of backend operations in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Proven experience in process management and optimization within the semiconductor industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with quality assurance principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of equipment and tooling used in backend operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
