Role Description
Treasury Technology is developing a large suite of new applications, many of them governed by TIGAr, one of Deutsche Bank’s Top 20 programs. This portfolio of change, whilst also generating significant revenue for DB, is primarily Regulatory driven – enabling a range of critical disclosures for Liquidity, Funding, Capital and Collateral. Much of this infrastructure is supporting daily processes and Regulatory disclosures and therefore demands a step-change in application functionality, reporting and data sourcing. Treasury Technology manage a portfolio of applications covering a range of Treasury Functions including Liquidity Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Funds Transfer Pricing and Portfolio Management.

Your key responsibilities
Understand the programme of work and current state technical landscape within Treasury
Accountable for ensuring that the software delivered meets functional and non-functional requirements
Accountable for ensuring that the software delivered adheres to the architectural specifications.
Accountable for the maintainability of solutions and ensuring that refactoring is appropriately prioritised alongside new requirements.
Collaborate with architects and developers to deliver component designs
Should be able to solve complex technical challenges while driving delivery
Must have proven experience in unblocking engineers, establishing technical standards, and resolving complex architectural challenges
Is passionate about using technology to realize the future of the business
Follow the agreed development standards
Facilitate high level estimating and release planning
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Your skills and experience
Strong programming skills in Java (preferred), with experience in Python, Scala a plus.
Experience developing back end components including real time report generation, batch processing and integration with downstream systems
Strong performance tuning capabilities
Experience in high volume data processing / ETL using Java.
Experience working with Relational Databases – ideally Oracle Exadata.
Experience working in an Agile based team – ideally Scrum.
Big Data Framing and Analysis
A track record of building scalable and maintainable applications.
An understanding of stream based processing
A thorough understanding of quality assurance principles
Good working knowledge of the use of JIRA / Defect Management tools
Good working Knowledge of Software Versioning. i.e. Git Flow
Experience working in a test driven development domain
Good Understanding of Automated testing tools (Rational Robot, Silktest, WinRunner, HP UFT, QuickTest Pro, RIATest, Green Hat etc)
Knowledge of white/black box level testing, system and performance testing of applications using industry standard practices and tools

Industry / Domain Experience: Desirable
Hands-on knowledge of enterprise technology platforms supporting the Finance, Risk and Treasury domains would be an advantage. For example:
Knowledge of the Finance/controlling domain and end-to-end workflow for a banking & trading business.
Knowledge of Treasury: liquidity, funding, capital and collateral; and their management in a large financial institution.
Knowledge of investment banking, sales & trading, asset management and similar industries is an advantage.
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
