Job Summary
Provide engineering recommendations and technical documentation to close REAs and support TMOC upgrades, develop CMMS AIM bulletins and assist field teams with equipment failure investigations to minimize downtime, lead offshore/OEM/shipyard inspections and testing activities (commissioning, FATs, trials), and advise on equipment obsolescence and overhaul planning. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related and 5 years’ Electrical Engineering experience with a multinational offshore drilling company. Must have experience in/with NOV Cyberbase and MH Wirth DrillView systems, drillfloor equipment (e.g. drawworks, topdrives, iron roughneck, pipe rackers, fingerboard controls, ARC Offshore Riser Robotics, etc.) control and reading PLC code to troubleshoot, identifying SW problems/bugs and proposing solutions to correct them. Must have experience in integrated drilling control systems platforms (e.g. NOVOS, Cyberbase, DrillviewGO, DEAL, CADS, MMC, IntelliWell Automate, Zone Management Systems, Pipe Interlock Systems, Salunda, and AKA AGP/PMS Hybrid Drilling systems. 20% domestic, international, and offshore travel.
