Sr Engineer Automation is responsible for convincing the organization of proper architecture and best practices. Will introduce new technologies and provide assistance to application development teams
Required
Deep expertise with Java-based testing frameworks, with the ability to design, structure, and maintain robust automated test suites.
Clear understanding of test responsibilities (unit, integration, component, end-to-end) and how to design proper test isolation and test environments.
Comfortable working with the same ecosystem as the development team, including:
Java, Spring Boot, JDBC, MySQL, AWS (EKS, SQS, S3, SES, RDS), Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, GitLab.Strong ability to write high-quality unit tests using Spring and deep experience with Mockito, including advanced mocking scenarios (e.g., static methods).
Experience validating systems that rely heavily on REST APIs, and familiarity with tools for working with gRPC.
Experience working with systems that generate significant metrics, logs, and observability data, and interest in helping improve this area.
Commitment to a high bar for test automation and ensuring all new code is thoroughly tested.
Strong, clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across engineering teams.
Comfortable working in an agile environment using scrum and sprints.
Nice to Have
Willingness to expand into Python-based automation in the future.
Experience with security testing or load/performance testing.
Experience with Agentic Pipelines.
Experience with front-end development or testing (JavaScript, React).
Strong learning mindset and willingness to adopt new tools, frameworks, or approaches.
