Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Embedded Software Engineer to provide onsite support for automotive embedded software development and integration. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in embedded systems, hands-on experience in debugging complex hardware-software issues, and a solid understanding of automotive system components such as camera, display, audio, and connectivity modules.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on support for embedded software development, integration, and troubleshooting at the customer site.
Work on Linux and/or RTOS-based systems, including BSP (Board Support Package) integration, kernel configuration, and device driver development.
Debug issues across hardware and software boundaries using tools such as Lauterbach, JTAG, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, and Flashing tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and system engineers to identify and resolve system-level issues.
Support board bring-up activities and validate interface protocol stacks (SPI, I2C, Ethernet, PCIe, CAN).
Develop and maintain scripts in Python or shell to support automation and diagnostics.
Own and deliver software pipelines for at least one of the following embedded automotive components:
Camera systems
Displays
Audio systems
Bluetooth / Wi-Fi modules
Required Skills and Experience
Strong experience in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
In-depth knowledge of Linux and/or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Proficient in kernel configuration, device drivers, and system-level debugging.
Solid experience with hardware debugging tools: Lauterbach, Oscilloscope, JTAG, etc.
Familiarity with interface protocols: SPI, I2C, Ethernet, PCIe, CAN.
Scripting experience in Python and/or Shell.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with automotive infotainment or connectivity platforms.
Exposure to automotive-grade hypervisors such as QNX or similar.
Prior experience working in an automotive embedded development environment.


Salary Range: $100,000-130,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
