Jabil is seeking an Electrical Engineer who will directly contribute to the transformative growth in our Intelligent Infrastructure division by applying unique and innovative approaches to solving problems within our large-scale production environment. The Electrical Engineer for Test Fixtures plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of hardware products, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for contributing to the end-to-end architecture, definition, development and production deployment of production Test fixtures in our manufacturing regions. You will also be responsible for interfacing with our customers, fixture vendors and internal teams from engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure fixture deliverables meet the rigorous standards of Jabil’s world-class manufacturing environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities:
- An Electrical design engineer designs for Test Fixtures, designs, develops, and validates the Production fixtures
- Design fixture architectures supporting:
- Power sequencing and monitoring
- Signal routing and switching
- High-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, USB, I2C, SPI, UART)
- Sensor and telemetry acquisition
- Functional validation and stress testing
- Design, develop, program, and maintain PLC-based control systems for L10 functional test fixtures and manufacturing test stations.
- Develop automation logic for power sequencing, safety interlocks, system monitoring, and test execution control.
- Integrate PLCs with test equipment, power supplies, relays, sensors, barcode scanners, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Support fixture automation for NPI, validation builds, and high-volume production environments.
- Troubleshoot PLC programs, control circuits, communication networks, and field devices to minimize production downtime.
- Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces for operator interaction, diagnostics, and test status monitoring.
- Implement data collection and reporting capabilities for yield analysis, traceability, and manufacturing metrics.
- Test development sites develop solutions for several test processes including, but not limited to:
- Boundary Scan/ JTAG
- Board-level functional test
- ESS/HASS
- System test
- Create and maintain:
- Schematics
- PCB layouts
- Wiring diagrams
- Fixture assembly drawings
- BOMs
- Validation reports
- Work instructions
- Ensure fixture designs comply with safety, ESD, EMC, and manufacturing standards.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of Pneumatic systems and PLC’s
- Familiar with motor systems and Robotics.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, such as mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and fluid dynamics

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering
- 8 to 10 years of experience designing jigs and fixtures for a PCBA manufacturing process. Including but not limited to wave pallets, rework fixtures, pneumatically driven fixtures for FVT and ICT.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
