Job Purpose:
The
role is to be responsible for preparation of Detailed engineering documents
including Layout, SLD, Design documents for Wind system including AC sizing for
equipment like Transformer, CT, PT, Substation connectivity, SCADA
architecture, Detailed BoM and Plant performance verification after
installation of the wind power plant.
Roles and
responsibilities
· The Wind System Engineer will be responsible for the design,
structural analysis, and optimization of wind power projects, ensuring
structural stability, performance efficiency, and grid compliance
· Single point responsibility for project engineering during engineering
phase for wind systems by doing Detailed system design, arriving at optimum generation
data, preparing layouts, bill of material and SLDs as a part of submission to internal
or external stake holders (Vendors and Customers).
· Responsible for Analyzing wind patterns using
tools like WindPRO or OpenWind to estimate energy generation
· Responsible for Design, Review and Approval of
detailed design, drawings and procedures related to all Foundations (basic
level), WTG equipment’s, transmission & substation components, such as
step-up transformers, switchyard, interfacing with national and state grid
policies, etc.
· Responsible for Preparation of RfPs and clearing
of vendor drawings for major components like Wind turbines, transformers, HT
and LT panels, UPS, Battery and battery chargers, SACDA system monitoring.
· Responsible for correct plant performance estimation and arriving at
optimum Bill of Materials.
· Preparation of As-built drawings and providing plant performance for
handing over the project to Operation and maintenance.
· Responsible for obtaining necessary inputs from internal / external
customers for designing optimum electrical system and attending customer /consultant/
Vendor meetings as and when necessary.
· Responsible for smooth transfer of information to Projects / SCM / site
team/QA and O&M and other customers.
· Responsible for on time preparation and submission of documents for
execution of the project.
Requirements
Skills and tools
· Expertise in MS office package
· Working knowledge of WindPro, AutoCAD and other relevant software
packages.
· Should have bird’s eye view on entire Wind system including electrical,
Mechanical, civil and structural elements of Wind system.
· Good Understanding of Different wind turbines design & technology,
Transformers, CT, PT and other substation related equipment.
· Knowledge of solar ground mount system engineering is advantageous.
· Excellent communication skills – written and spoken – English and
Hindi
Education:BE in Electrical / Mechanical / Wind Engineering
