The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for developing IFC electrical design packages using detailed design drawings and providing technical clarifications for IS factory electrical installation works. This person also needs to guide subcontracting staff from the initial installation phase through to the testing and commissioning phase. The role provides technical guidance to Supply Chain and Material Management teams in both global and local locations to support Infrastructure Solutions production works. The Electrical Design Engineer works closely with local and regional teams within Vertiv.
Responsibilities
- Produce Issued For Construction (IFC) drawing packages
- Sustains engineering of current production designs.
- Review Electrical BOQs
- Provide technical support to with electrical subcontractors, project managers, QAQC, Safety engineers & Vertiv procurement team
- Develop testing and commissioning documents
Education
• Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering or related degree
Requirements
- Around 5 years of experience in Electrical construction projects
- Around 5 years of experience in LV electrical design works
- Good understanding about LV & ELV systems for Data centre projects
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in writing functional requirements and documenting designs.
- Experience with Revit or similar tools.
- Ability to debug, validate, and develop/support manufacturing tests on electrical power distribution systems
- Experience in testing and commissioning LV electrical power distribution systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
- Effective team member, consistent positive attitude, creativity
