We’re actively seeking a talented Senior eDiscovery Platform Engineer to join our Microsoft 365 Engineering team in Newport Beach, CA. Relocation assistance may be provided.

As a Senior eDiscovery Platform Engineer you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by executing and maturing eDiscovery operations across multiple enterprise data sources and partnering closely with Legal, Compliance, HR, Security, IT Operations, and external vendors. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 10 people in the Technology division. Your colleagues will include Microsoft 365 and Information Protection professionals.

How you’ll help move us forward:
• Own the eDiscovery service end-to-end, including intake, prioritization, scoping, execution, and closure of matters.
• Manage legal, regulatory, and privacy risk by making early, informed decisions that prevent downstream issues while administering and operating enterprise eDiscovery SaaS platforms

• Manage the full legal hold lifecycle including creation, modification, monitoring, and release.
• Execute eDiscovery collections, searches, review preparation, and exports to support litigation, investigations, regulatory inquiries, and DSARs, while ensuring consistent and auditable discovery outcomes.
• Perform data collections from Microsoft 365, Proofpoint, on-premises file shares, workstations, mobile/SMS platforms and other locations where company data may be stored.

The experience you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in eDiscovery, digital forensics, legal operations, or related disciplines.
• Hands-on administration experience with one or more of the following technologies: Casepoint eDiscovery, MS Purview eDiscovery, Proofpoint.  
• Demonstrated experience with legal hold lifecycle management and large-scale global Enterprise data collections.

• Certifications on Casepoint, Microsoft Purview or Compliance (SC-series)

• Experience supporting a global Enterprise and Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).

• Experience with cloud and non-M365 enterprise data sources.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$137,610.00 - $168,190.00
