What will you bring to the team.
TGCS is seeking a Sr. Edge Platform Support Engineer to support and operate the ELERA® platform and related edge infrastructure that power Produce Recognition and Loss Prevention solutions. This role is responsible for the reliable deployment, configuration, compliance, and operational support of the platform. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering and SDLC practices, production support, incident management experience, and a solid understanding of AI/ML. This role requires close collaboration with the team and the client during store installations, upgrades, and operational events.
What will you be doing:
- Manage firmware, application packages, and configuration updates across fleets.
- Maintain and manage fleet-wide version compliance across customer environments.
- Ensure device connectivity and secure communication between devices and cloud.
- Execute configuration changes at scale using automation and orchestration tools.
- Provide 24x7 operational support coverage as part of rotational support model.
- Lead or participate in incident triage, RCA, and post-incident reviews.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams and customers to restore service quickly.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and operational utilities.
- Work with AI/ML and computer-vision teams to support procedures on edge devices.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to AI-driven edge applications.
- Partner closely with the team to execute store installations.
- Participate in customer and business partner calls.
Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computing, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- +5 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, platform operations, or production support roles.
- Good experience with Linux-based systems, scripting (Python, Bash, or similar), and automation tools.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, source control (Git), testing, release management, and change management.
- Experience supporting production systems.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, networking, and device connectivity troubleshooting.
- Advanced English skills.
- Requires flexible work schedule.
- Availability to travel.
