Job Summary:
The Managing Solutions Architect will lead a team of talented solution architects supporting GDTs to present and support formal technical presentations and technical design assistance of GDTs solutions and service offerings to existing and prospective clients. The Managing Solutions Architect owns all technical aspects of a sales campaign and collaborates with the sales and services teams. They must maintain strong relationships with GDT clients. In this role, they are experts within the Architect organization, responsible for designing, architecting and solutioning for our clients and leading the team of architects within their department.
Key Responsibilities:
· Define strategy, compare and contrast alternative solution approaches, and build key relationships, as well as size and configure solutions.
· Possesses deep technology, enterprise IT and operational expertise (multiple layers of the stack).
· Presents at technical briefings and demonstrations with clients and partners to showcase GDT’s value.
· Considered a subject matter expert in one or many technologies for the team to leverage.
· Qualify and position consulting engagements and services.
· Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their solution knowledge, technical acumen, and pre-sales skill sets.
· Qualify sales opportunities in the terms of client technical requirements, decision-making processes and funding and decides if GDT should move forward with opportunity pursuits.
· Prioritize opportunities and efforts assigned to the geography based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit.
· Drive engagement conversions to additional services/solutions.
· Provide feedback to improve internal efficiencies.
· Work with practice leaders to provide input and suggestions for new solutions and offerings.
· Extensive knowledge and experience working with operating systems.
· Evaluate, lead, and assist their teams’ contributions and performance.
· Effectively collaborate and manage the team's work product and deliverables.

Certifications:
· Possesses a variety of OEM and Industry entry-level, professional, specialist and expert certifications spanning multiple vendors and technologies. Examples include Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCDP/CCIE/CCDE, NetApp NCTA/NCDA/NCSE/NCHCA, Fortinet NSE 1 - 8, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIP/JNCIS/JNCIE, etc.
· Also possesses professional certifications in other/cross-functional areas such as (ISC)² certifications, EXIN ITIL, Enterprise Architect Certifications (i.e., TOGAF), etc.
