Sr. Director, Regional Marketing and Strategy- APAC EP

Position Summary:
We are looking for a Sr. Director of Regional Marketing and Strategy for our Electrophysiology business in Asia Pacific region to be based in our regional HQ office in Singapore.
The role is responsible for leading teams across competitive insights, marketing and portfolio strategy and strategic recommendations for EP across APAC with focus on our biggest markets like China and Japan. This role will also oversee strategic planning including LRPP & external innovation by close partnership with cross-x teams and local EP commercial leaders.
This leader and their teams will develop expertise and ensure great planning and execution on the regional near-term NPI and elevate the LEX and PMR process to better inform the IBP.
Long term perspective, developing competitive, clinical, technological, and economic evolution of the AFIB, Electrophysiology, and adjacent markets also will be one of the priorities for this role.
They will partner across GSM platform leaders and PMO at global to ensure strategic alignment on “where to play” (future market evolution, adjacencies) and “how to win” (portfolio positioning/messaging, growth drivers) given the expected market and competitive future.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead team dedicated to delivering concrete strategic recommendations by focusing on unmet needs in the dynamic cardiac ablation market through a deep understanding of the customers and business insights to further build JNJ EP competitiveness.
- Be trusted advisor and strategy center to key leaders through being a proactive source of objective, thoughtful insights for direction of market/competitors and translating these into concrete internal strategies and focuses.
- Train and develop the regional team members to provide continuous support to the business today while keeping an eye to expected future trends, e. g PFA,\Visualization, Mapping and other adjacencies.
- Work with global GSM and PMO on the plan of NPI and Portfolio Prioritization and track the matrix that matters along the LEX and PMR process. Constantly improve the NPI impact to support the GP, revenues and profitability. Manage the portfolio mix, market access, HEMA, pricing etc to gain the competitive edge and laid out a great foundation for long-term and sustainable growth.
- In partnership with finance, S.C, commercial leaders and SI&A, lead the key business processes including BP, IBP, MTP, LRPP and LRFP etc to win in the market. Work with cross-x teams to measure our business performance based on the underlying growth drivers of our revenue performance and market share gain.
- Lead and deliver recurring regional marketing community forums to deep dive and get the alignment of market dynamics, competitor rebuttal, clinical, technical and marketing assets to focus on the top business priorities. Continue to learn EP insights and knowledge, build the organizational competency of the clinical, medical and regulatory understanding and translate those insights and expertise into the integrated Marketing plan including STP, messaging plan and market comms.
- Partnering with local /global marketing team, develop and lead the major regional customer congresses(e.g APHRS), Customers VOC, SAB and other Customer engagement activities. Build strong connections and relationship with regional level top KOLs.
- Partner with other regions regional MKT team to learn from each other, share the learnings and drive the global playbook under the BU model.
- Create and establish external innovation framework and strategy to guide BD focus. Partner with BD to maintain evergreen “go hunt” areas of interest and support BD-led targeting/scouting of potential technologies.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering or related field required. Advanced degree (e.g., M.B.A.) is highly preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant business experience in Marketing, General Management or Sales, or a related field is required. A minimum of 8 years of people leadership experience and diverse team management experience. Working experience in regional or global with diverse team of MNC company is highly preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS
- Experience leading strategic marketing strongly preferred. International experience is also preferred. Knowledge of marketing research and analysis, including Voice of the Customer (VOC) is required. S/he will have the capability to stimulate innovation in Marketing through identification and communication of significant unmet needs.
- Demonstrate customer-first mindset and focus on external.
- Cardiovascular industry and clinical electrophysiology knowledge strongly preferred with proven ability to learn complex technology/clinical applications.
- Understanding of China and Japan High Tech MedTech industry and business operation is highly preferred.
- The demonstrated ability to operate in highly complex, hybrid and diversified markets is required.
- The successful candidate will collaborate with US, EMEA, Global and cross markets in APAC commercial organizations to execute plans and successfully launch products.
- Strong financial acumen and results driven.
- Proven behaviors as a strong partner and team player, especially with functions including global/regional Finance, S.C, R&D, GSM, PE/CE, commercial field leadership, regulatory affairs, clinical affairs and operations/planning.
