The Senior Director, Portfolio & Content leads ed2go’s portfolio management, content development, and portfolio operations organizations and ensures these capabilities continue to serve as engines of profitable growth and competitive differentiation. You’ll collaborate closely with the General Manager and Ed2go Leadership Team to ensure our priorities align with growth expectations, market opportunities, and learner needs.   

  • Lead the Portfolio Management team (online course product managers) and the content development team (learning design, media design, and production management) who collectively own our online course catalog of more than 1,000 programs.

  • Build insight into portfolio performance, market dynamics, customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for new programs, category expansion, content modernization, partnerships, and portfolio optimization.

  • Establish clear investment frameworks that enable disciplined decisions about where ed2go should build, buy, partner, expand, modernize, or exit.

  • Guide portfolio lifecycle management, balancing investment in new growth with optimization and maintenance of the existing catalog.

  • Use financial, market, customer, and operational data to evaluate portfolio performance and inform investment decisions.

  • Partner with Finance and business leadership to ensure portfolio decisions support sustained revenue growth, margin expansion, and long-term value creation.

  • Establish and coordinate portfolio performance mechanisms, operating rhythms, and reviews that provide access to results, risks, opportunities, and strategic tradeoffs.  

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a leader with significant experience in portfolio management (course product management), and content development, ideally in education technology or workforce development. You should have demonstrated success leading a large, complex portfolio or product organization with meaningful revenue and profitability accountability.  

  • Strong business and financial competence, including experience using market, customer, operational, and financial data to make investment and prioritization decisions.

  • Proven ability to develop and complete portfolio strategies that drive sustained growth, improve portfolio performance, and build competitive advantage.

  • Experience leading other leaders and multi-layer organizations, with a strong track record of developing talent and building leadership capability.

  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear context, recommendations, priorities, and decisions.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Experience leading/managing (accountable) product portfolios exceeding $100M / Year in revenue

  • Experience leading large teams (40 + employees) with multiple levels of people management (Managing Directors, Sr. Managers, Managers, and Supervisors who inturn manage individual contributors)

  • Experience developing and launching growth strategies that produce material net new annual revenue in their first 3 years in market ($5M - $10M)

  • Experience leading in organizations with double digit revenue growth goals

  • Experience leveraging products into market adjacencies with meaningful revenue/enrollment growth

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.  Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

In this position,  you will be eligible to participate in the company’s discretionary incentive bonus program.  This position's bonus target amount, which is not guaranteed and is dependent on individual performance and overall company results among other factors, is provided below.  

30% Annual: Individual Target
$163,100.00 - $212,000.00 USD
