Position Summary:
As a key leader within Munchkin's Sales Leadership Team, the Senior Director or VP of Sales - Walmart USA drives strategic customer management, profitable revenue growth, and market share expansion across Walmart's business. This role serves as the primary interface between Munchkin and Walmart, accountable for delivering revenue targets, enhancing brand equity, and executing comprehensive business strategies that align with Munchkin's growth objectives. This position provides direct leadership to the Bentonville team while fostering cross-functional collaboration to maximize business opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.
What You'll Do:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve annual revenue, margin, and market share targets while managing P&L accountability for Walmart USA business
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key Walmart stakeholders, conduct executive presentations, and lead Joint Business Planning initiatives to drive strategic partnerships
  • Establish annual account-specific goals with VP of Global Business Development, providing accurate forecasts and effectively communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual sales results
  • Negotiate annual trade fund allocation, develop strategic merchandising plans, and execute promotional strategies with post-analysis to optimize ROI and drive profitable growth
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the Bentonville Walmart team while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales Operations, Planning, and Finance
  • Manage demand forecasting and supply chain coordination with internal planning teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and OTIF shipments
  • Oversee merchandising, advertising, and assortment proposals for Line Reviews that deliver sales and share growth for both Walmart and Munchkin
  • Develop fact-based sales presentations utilizing Retail Link, Scintilla, and IRI to secure distribution, optimize shelf placement, and drive category growth initiatives
  • Maintain weekly merchant meetings with Walmart across 9 baby categories to share market trends, leverage consumer insights, and collaborate on product launches and promotional activities to identify growth opportunities
  • Other duties may be assigned

Bring It!
  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years of consumer sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing Walmart and Sam's Club accounts. Walmart Headquarter experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies. An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Deep understanding of the retail industry, particularly Walmart. Familiarity with market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
  • Multi-channel CPG experience.
