As the Sr. Director, NA Market Access & Revenue Management, you will manage the strategy and execution of key revenue management capabilities, including price management and governance, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), payment management (Admin Fees, Rebates), Configure, Price and Quote (CPQ), tender strategy full cycle management, analytics, and forecasting.

Reporting to the VP of Commercial Operations (North America), you will oversee the development of programs to define and deliver market access. You will build effective strategies for pricing and reimbursement, evidence-based medicine, review and health economic modeling.

You will work across the Seqirus portfolio including both pipeline and inline products and partners with peer leaders across many departments, including Commercial Operations (CommOps), Legal Affairs, Policy, Compliance, and external partners. You will evolve existing capabilities to ensure Seqirus meets our goals, while developing a talented team. You will sit on the North American Leadership Team (NALT).

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead Seqirus NA Market Access & Revenue Management function to drive leadership in market development, shaping, and pricing execution:

  • In close collaboration with key NA CommOps teams, develop Market Access & Revenue Management recommendations for private and public markets in Canada and US.
  • Guide Market Access & Revenue Management decisions by collecting, synthesizing, and analyzing industry/competitor pricing and trends to help inform Market Access & Revenue Management decisions.
  • Partner with functional departments (Policy, R&D, Medical Affairs, Health Economics, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing) to incorporate a differentiated value proposition that meets payers needs into product development from the earliest stages.
  • Be the internal Market Access & Revenue Management expert for Seqirus and provide support to external meetings with government agencies, policy makers, customers, and payers.
  • Provide leadership to Seqirus by communicating the current access and value requirements landscape, and by advocating for appropriate investment in evidence and market access programs
  • Influence the development of business strategy, evidence, and go-to-market plans by communicating the clinical and economic value to payers, and other important partners.
  • Provide consultation, training on Market Access & Revenue Management resources and technical advice to internal customers across the business.
  • Influence pricing, contracting, and related discount forecasting for all access and reimbursement segments.
  • Develop infrastructure (tools, systems, databases) to maintain pricing trends, history, to allow analytics and inform decision-making.

Lead the evolution of key Seqirus capabilities (Market Access & Revenue Management)

  • Develop a long-term roadmap to evolve well-functioning capabilities (Market Access & Revenue Management.)
  • Influence Senior Leadership on key market events with a focus on securing investments for long-term growth.
  • Provide expertise to best support tender strategy full cycle management (including support on tender segmentation and prioritization, bidding strategy, execution and performance tracking) and implementation of contracting schemes.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to understand the market dynamics and analytic needs to support and influence the business.
  • Co-Lead the evaluation and evolution processes used for annual Long-Range Plan (LRP), demand planning, and annual budget process.
  • Communicate the outputs from key intelligence and analytic projects to Senior Leadership (e.g. Seqirus Leadership Team (SQLT), North American Leadership Team (NALT)

Provide leadership to the NA Market Access & Revenue Management team and contribute to North American Leadership Team to achieve our strategy

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Accounting or Finance discipline would be an advantage
  • Masters Degree in Business, Health Policy, Health Economics, Life Sciences or Healthcare discipline would be an advantage; MBA preferred
  • 12 years' pharmaceutical industry experience including market access, brand or specialty channel marketing and account management
  • Experience achieving coverage and payment for branded specialty products
  • Prior experience with channel partners such as specialty pharmacies, GPOs, integrated health systems and payers
  • Knowledge of relevant legal, compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Experience leading and managing teams

The expected base salary range for this position at hiring is $275,000 - $320,000. Please note this salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay that CSL expects to pay for this position at the listed location as of the time of this posting. Individual base salary for a successful candidate is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and other relevant factors. In addition to base salary, total compensation for this role may also include incentive compensation and equity.
