The Senior Director of Indirect Procurement Business Partner will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's non-traditional procurement strategy to drive cost efficiencies and savings globally. The right candidate will be a strong negotiator across all categories in indirect procurement while also being experienced at influencing executive-level and c-suite stakeholders. Additionally, this leader must be experienced in setting direction and implementing initiatives in a fast-paced, start-up environment that prioritizes speed and efficiency over conventional processes. This is an opportunity to take ownership and deliver true savings in a high-visibility, cross-functional role at a growing organization. Communication, influencing and attention to detail are critical components to success. This role is an individual contributor.
This role is open to remote work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Business Partnering: Act as the primary procurement advisor to senior business leaders up to C-Suite level, understanding their needs and aligning procurement strategies to support business objectives. • Cost Mitigation: Proactively identify cost savings initiatives, building a pipeline of opportunities with business leaders to drive both immediate and long-term savings
  • Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions and pricing; and partner with business leaders to support contract management and supplier negotiations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders to influence demand, manage expectations, and ensure procurement delivers measurable value.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with other functions (Finance, Legal, Compliance) on improving E2E procurement function for efficiency and clarity
  • Sourcing Strategy: Elevate our strategic sourcing through competitive sourcing, cost and contract management ultimately delivering significant year over year cost savings
  • Proactive Sourcing: Create proactive sourcing plans by working closely with functional groups to understand their long-term needs and incorporate those insights into your sourcing operational strategy. Develop comprehensive category database to drive long-term strategic plan towards improved supplier performance management and tracking KPIs.

The ability to influence stakeholders and effectively communicate with executives in order to earn a role as a trusted advisor is essential to the role.
Ideally, this leader will bring:
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations and supplier management with a proven track record of success in driving cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement efficiency at a senior leadership level.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related area of Supply Chain, Finance or Business Management preferred. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders on procurement strategies and negotiations. Comfortable influencing without direct authority, acting as a strategic procurement business partner.
