Job Description:
To support the International Expansion strategy a newly created role of General Manager, Spain will support the start-up and launch into this new market. While establishing Insulet’s start-up in Spain, the role’s esponsibilities will be 75% of the below over first 12-18 months, transitioning to 25-50% over 18-24 months, and then 100% to managing and executing P&L business responsibilities of an established country manager.
Start-up 12 – 18 months:
Responsibilities:
- Develop org structure and build that aligns with business strategy for entering Spanish market and establishing/driving Pod therapy to grow overall market with differential benefit to Insulet
- Guide, direct, and ensure balance of market development, commercial execution, and product-related initiatives for success
- Lead, in concert with resources to be hired, strategic business development activities including local partnerships (including JDRF), advocacy relationships, KOL engagement, and opportunities related to Digital Education and Engagement
- Successfully launch Omnipod in the market with near to mid-term goal of establishing traction for Pod therapy commercially, and mid to longer-term goal of driving new category-level growth and optimizing reimbursement and launches of additional products including 5.0
- Consistently grow the business in excess of market rates, in alignment with Insulet profitability and GM targets
