The Sr. Director of Consumer Marketing & Lead Acquisition is responsible for developing and executing strategies to acquire, convert, and retain consumer refinance customers. This role leads lead-purchasing strategy, digital customer acquisition, vendor and affiliate relationships, marketing analytics, and conversion optimization to generate profitable funded-loan volume while maintaining strong consumer compliance and brand standards.

How You'll Contribute:
Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition- Develop and manage consumer acquisition strategies across purchased leads, paid search, paid social, affiliate networks, lead aggregators, retargeting, email, direct mail, and other performance channels.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage third-party lead providers and marketing partners.
- Establish lead-buying criteria, pricing thresholds, volume allocations, and quality standards by source, product, geography, credit profile, and customer segment.
- Optimize cost per lead, contact rate, application rate, approval rate, funded-loan conversion, customer acquisition cost, and contribution margin.
- Monitor lead duplication, fraud, consent, freshness, exclusivity, and source quality; suspend or reallocate spend when performance falls below established thresholds.
- Lead performance marketing across search engine marketing, social media, display, affiliate, email, SMS, and remarketing channels.
- Plan and manage the consumer marketing budget, forecasts, pacing, and channel mix to achieve volume and profitability targets.
- Partner with creative, compliance, sales, operations, and technology teams to launch accurate, compelling, and compliant campaigns.
- Oversee agencies and marketing technology vendors, ensuring clear deliverables, measurable outcomes, and disciplined spend management.
- Own the consumer journey from lead receipt through contact, application, approval, closing, and funded loan.
- Analyze funnel leakage and implement initiatives to improve speed-to-lead, contact rates, application completion, document collection, approval, and funding.
- Design and manage A/B tests for messaging, landing pages, forms, offers, call strategies, nurture campaigns, and customer experience.
- Collaborate with sales and operations leaders on lead routing, staffing, service-level expectations, scripts, follow-up cadence, and performance accountability.
- Build executive dashboards and reporting by source, campaign, vendor, cohort, channel, and customer segment.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reviews with insights, forecasts, risks, and recommended actions.
- Use attribution, cohort, profitability, and lifetime-value analyses to guide investment decisions.
- Ensure lead, campaign, CRM, and funded-loan data are accurately captured and reconciled across systems.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure campaigns, disclosures, lead sources, outreach practices, and vendor activities comply with applicable consumer lending, privacy, telemarketing, advertising, and consent requirements.
- Maintain appropriate vendor due diligence, documentation, monitoring, and escalation procedures.
- Promote fair, transparent, and responsible marketing practices across all consumer acquisition channels.

What Makes You a Great Fit:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in direct-to-consumer marketing, performance marketing, customer acquisition, or lead generation, including leadership responsibility.
- Experience in auto refinance, mortgage refinance, personal lending, consumer finance, or another high-volume financial services environment strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience purchasing and optimizing third-party leads and managing meaningful marketing budgets.
- Strong understanding of acquisition economics, attribution, conversion funnels, forecasting, and unit profitability.
- Experience with CRM, marketing automation, call-center, analytics, and lead-distribution platforms.
- Strong vendor negotiation, cross-functional leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated, data-driven environment.

Recognizing Your Impact
For this full-time role, the starting salary range is $161600 - $202000 per year. Our compensation is designed to be competitive and to reflect the value, experience, and contributions each team member brings to Origence. Offers are usually not made at the top of the range, and each compensation package is assessed carefully based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location, in compliance with applicable laws.
