Job Summary
The Sr Director of Business Insights and Consumer Analytics at DentalPlans.com is responsible for leading the development and execution of advanced data-driven strategies that drive operational, sales, and customer experience improvements across the organization. This position requires a deep combination of technical analytics expertise, strategic business acumen, and leadership skills, ensuring that data insights directly influence key business and customer outcomes that lead to business growth.
What You Will Do
- Data-Driven Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create data-driven solutions such as dashboards, visualizations, and simulations to improve consumer experience and product development
- Strategic Problem Solving: Apply strategic thinking and a hypothesis-based approach to solve complex business questions through data analytics, providing meaningful insights to drive decision-making
- Performance Management & Reporting: Develop and implement a performance management vision, using data-driven insights to structure analyses on business functions, key performance metrics and business trends, while contributing to executive-level presentations
- Data Transformation: Oversee the modification and transformation of complex data into easily understandable formats, ensuring its alignment with business needs
- Roadmap Development & Implementation: Lead the creation of a data-driven roadmap in partnership with functional leaders to modernize decision-making tools, enhancing customer engagement
- Data Architecture & Self-Service Capabilities: Lead the design and rollout of advanced self-service capabilities on an evolving data environment, enabling business teams to independently access critical insights and driving consistency and accuracy across the organization
- Business Process Collaboration and Optimization: Leverage data insights to identify best practices and recommend operational transformation strategies that optimize sales and operational performance, drive efficiency and improve business outcomes
- Team Leadership & Analytics Delivery: Direct an analytics team in conducting business-critical research and delivering in-depth analysis, while fostering an innovative, high-performance culture focused on continuous learning
- Industry Trends Monitoring: Proactively monitor industry trends and seek opportunities for continuous improvement to stay ahead of market changes and challenges

Qualifications
What You Will Have
- 12+ years of relevant business intelligence and analytics experience with prior team leadership/management
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Domo for creating dashboards and simulation
- Advanced skills in SQL/Python/R for data analysis and large dataset management
- Knowledge of statistical modeling for business forecasting
- Proven ability to translate complex business problems into data-driven insight
- Familiarity with KPIs for business performance in sales and operation
- Experience in data strategy development to enhance decision-making and customer engagement
- Excellent team leadership and mentorship, fostering innovation and continuous learnin
- Excellent project management, organizational, and strategic planning skills
- Effective communicator with excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
- Proficient in building relationships, managing alliances, and leading virtual teams
- Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry trends
Nice to Haves
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Business/Data Analytics, Business Administration or a related field
- Experience in telecom, direct to consumer, or e-commerce subscription-based services
The posted range for this position is $155,000 - $200,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
