Summary of Role: The Sr. Director, Business Finance – Silicon Photonics & RF is a senior finance leader and strategic partner to the VP of Business Finance & Operations and Product Line leadership, supporting two of GlobalFoundries’ most advanced and differentiated technology portfolios in a rapidly growing, disruptive sector. This role provides financial leadership across P&L management, customer contract management, M&A integration, and capital allocation, enabling disciplined decision‑making across complex, technology‑intensive businesses.
The Sr. Director will operate at the intersection of product strategy, investment planning, and financial execution—supporting businesses that require long‑term capital planning, revenue execution, close customer partnerships, and cross‑functional alignment across Product, Sales, Operations, Technology, Manufacturing, and Corporate Finance.
Essential Responsibilities:
Serve as a senior finance leader and strategic advisor to the VP of Business Finance and Silicon Photonics and RF Product Line leadership, influencing decisions across complex, capital‑intensive businesses.
Lead full Product Line P&Ls, driving revenue growth and expanding profitability.
Lead financial governance of customer and commercial contracts, driving pricing discipline, risk management, and alignment to long‑term business objectives.
Drive R&D investment decisions to maximize ROI and efficiency
Lead finance integration for M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships impacting Silicon Photonics and RF portfolios, ensuring alignment across planning, operating models, and financial reporting.
Drive CapEx forecasting, allocation, and investment governance, shaping capital decisions that support technology roadmaps, manufacturing capability, and scale.
Lead financial inputs to quarterly forecasts, annual operating plans, long‑range planning, with a focus on revenue growth, profitability, capital discipline, performance transparency, and execution.
Translate complex financial and technical inputs into clear, decisive insights for senior leadership, shaping recommendations and outcomes.
Challenge assumptions and ways of working to strengthen financial rigor, efficiency, and continuous improvement across supported businesses.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
15+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles supporting product‑driven, manufacturing, or technology‑intensive businesses.
Proven experience in business finance, FP&A, or P&L support within semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or B2B technology environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead financial workstreams related to forecasting, contracts, capital investment, and business integration.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders across multiple functions and regions.
Deep analytical skills coupled with the ability to simplify complexity and drive clear decisions.
Comfortable operating with minimal direction in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
Travel up to 30%.
Fluency in English, written and verbal.
Expected Salary Range
$184,000.00 - $325,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
