Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • A trusted leader that guides all cross-functional projects with an emphasis on Customer Marketing Data Strategy, Business Enablement, Strategic Planning & Analytics Application providing key insights through data analysis to inform strategic planning and initiative prioritization.
  • Leads strategic planning and initiative prioritization, and can independently develop long term roadmaps and use cases that the workstreams execute
  • Recommend Insights to Action for strategic and long-term Marketing planning leveraging value-based measurement across client marketing leads to drive data enriched activation
  • Understand CX technology infrastructure and incorporate technical feasibility and maturity into planning and prioritization
  • Identify opportunities for cross-solutioning within client’s ecosystem
  • Teach, coach and train direct and indirect reports on how to best identify and evangelize the solutions driven through data, analytics, and technology available to support the strategic plans for the organization.
  • Collaborate with client and cross-agency SMEs to identify white space opportunities to curate and develop solutions that are well thought through and are client and customer centric
  • Ability to connect technology capability challenges or goals to business needs and build compelling stories to articulate incremental value
  • Hands-on ability to create and support executive level presentations and analyses of analytic, data and identity solutions to support client needs
  • Independently lead the development and drive the execution of actionable multi-phased / year measurement, technology, analytic or data roadmaps for clients
  • Ability to translate data/results into clear narratives for tech and non-tech audiences across different communication channels, i.e. ppt, email etc.
  • Provide thought leadership through articles, blogs, event and other marketing avenues to guide innovative and cutting-edge application of analytics and data solutions
  • Assess market trends and incorporate external insights to recommend potential product and market level opportunities for client growth.
  • Develop depth and breadth of understanding of solutions and offerings across dentsu and Merkle
  • Actively engage with client to be integrated in the business, understanding and developing recommendations for strategic business growth and optimization
  • Partner with client to develop use cases for activation across teams
  • Align with Client and Marketing partners on measurement plans to support activation efforts and align to the marketing strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally – within Merkle and client teams – to drive integrated process for the utilization and advancement of data, analytics and technology
  • Lead matrixed teams through influence, collaboration and coaching
  • Teach and coach client teams to level up marketing, insights and holistic business strategy skills

Experience:

  • 15+ years in analytics, business consulting, data strategy and or strategic planning functions
  • 8+ years of cross-team leadership over multiple business and strategic disciplines
  • Mix of Agency and Corporate experience
  • History of translating business needs to strategic goals to guide tactical execution of marketing efforts
  • Experience guiding and planning work products from technical and strategic teams
  • Experience working with and applying CX technologies (e.g. Cloud Data Warehouses, CDPs, Cross-Channel Messaging Platforms, Content Management, etc.) to drive strategic CXM
  • Translation of ML/AI models and analytic projects to tactical and executional business action
  • Managing through influence
  • Corporate Retail or Retail Automotive Experience, a plus

The annual base salary range for this position is $136,000-$224,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.  Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
