Your Role as a Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist 

As a Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist, you will serve as a senior subject matter expert responsible for driving performance and execution excellence across paid media programs. Working within the Performance Media Operations (PMO) organization, you will lead the development, execution, optimization, and analysis of paid media campaigns across platforms including Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, programmatic advertising, and emerging media channels. 

In partnership with Account Services, you will contribute to client growth strategies, develop actionable recommendations, identify optimization opportunities, and influence positive client outcomes. This role requires a balance of advanced platform expertise, analytical thinking, operational leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. You will also play an active role in mentoring team members, improving team processes, and helping scale the paid media practice through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. 

A Day in the Life of a Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist 

  • Develop, launch, manage, and optimize paid media campaigns across search, social, display, video, and programmatic platforms. 
  • Own complex client programs and independently manage campaign execution from launch through ongoing optimization. 
  • Analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve key metrics including CTR, CPC, CPA, conversion rate, ROAS, and lead quality. 
  • Partner with Account Services to support client strategies, growth discussions, performance reviews, and recommendations. 
  • Build strategic performance insights and translate data into actionable recommendations that support retention and revenue growth. 
  • Lead oversight of campaign tracking, tagging, attribution, and measurement frameworks to ensure data integrity. 
  • Proactively identify risks, performance issues, and optimization opportunities while communicating recommendations to stakeholders. 
  • Support client growth initiatives by contributing media expertise during renewals, upsell opportunities, and new business support efforts. 
  • Act as an escalation point for campaign, platform, tracking, and performance-related challenges. 
  • Mentor specialists and coordinators by providing coaching, training, quality assurance, and best practice guidance. 
  • Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and evolution of standard operating procedures, documentation, and workflow improvements. 
  • Stay informed on industry trends, platform updates, AI-driven marketing innovations, privacy changes, and emerging advertising technologies. 
  • Maintain platform certifications and expand expertise across multiple advertising products and solutions. 

 
What You'll Need 

  • 4-6+ years of hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns across one or more platforms including Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, programmatic, display, video, or similar advertising channels. 
  • Advanced understanding of campaign strategy, audience targeting, bidding methodologies, attribution, tracking, and optimization. 
  • Experience managing complex client programs with minimal oversight. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and develop actionable recommendations. 
  • Experience with campaign tracking, pixels, conversion measurement, Google Tag Manager, GA4, and troubleshooting data collection issues. 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes through cross-functional collaboration and effective communication. 
  • Strong organizational, project management, attention to detail and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience mentoring, onboarding, or coaching junior team members. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting platforms i.e. Tableau, Data Studio, PowerBI. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related field. 

 

Nice to Have 

  • Agency experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously. 
  • Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, StackAdapt or other platform certifications. 
  • Experience with Salesforce, CRM integrations, Asana, and marketing automation platforms. 
  • Knowledge of audience strategy, first-party data activation, and customer journey planning. 
  • Experience working in B2B advertising environments. 
  • Experience supporting new business pitches or strategic client growth initiatives. 
  • Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives, SOP development, or operational change management.
