Sr DevOps Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud and on-prem)

The Senior DevOps Infrastructure Engineer will be part of the LnW iGaming Global Infrastructure Team. 

The team is a function of the Technical Operations BU and is responsible for the entire lifecycle of production platforms across the Global LnW iGaming estate, both on-premises and in cloud.  

What you will be doing 

• Designing, building, supporting, maintaining and decommissioning on-prem and cloud environments 

• Supporting, maintaining and developing existing CI/CD pipelines to support the deployment and lifecycle of our infrastructure 

• Developing new processes which follow DevOps best practices to further automate the deployment and operation of our on-prem infrastructure 

• Troubleshooting / describing / solving complex infrastructure problems 

• Reviewing, evaluating and implementing security recommendations 

• Building on and improving existing monitoring and logging tools 

• Regularly evaluating load and capacity in existing cloud and on-prem environments 

• Documenting new workflows and sharing knowledge with peers 

• Maintaining IPAM, DNS and CDN/DDoS protection platforms 

• Occasionally working on critical changes during off-hours 

• Joining a 24x7 on-call rota 

Your skills and experience 

• Have a minimum of 5 years proven experience deploying and supporting complex infrastructure stacks in an automated fashion for high-volume/ high-speed transactional systems 

• Strong working knowledge of Python, Terraform, Ansible and Linux shell scripting 

• Have working experiencing with version control systems, cloud computing platforms, on-prem virtualisation platforms, CI/CD tools  and IaC tools (Github/Bitbucket, AWS, Jenkins, vCentre/KVM, Packer) 

• Have a solid understanding of both on-prem and cloud networking principles 

What would give you a head-start for this role 

• Having previously held a role where you’ve designed and built AWS and on-prem platforms from scratch (Networking, storage and compute/virtualisation) 

• Having previously administered Cloudflare, Imperva or similar WAF/CDN platforms 

• You are familiar with the ITIL framework and Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence 

• Used Grafana, Zabbix, Prometheus, Splunk
