The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Sr. DevOps Engineers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL). Responsible for software engineering of proprietary applications. Drive automation across a wide range of software applications, including cloud, desktop, mobile, and web. Improve tooling around CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), cloud architecture, security, site reliability, test automation, and alerting and monitoring strategies. Innovate new ways to develop cloud infrastructure, support product teams, and automate processes to improve operational posture and team agility. Build software for reliability and scale across multiple technologies and platforms and advance DevOps best practices. Technical Environment: SaaS; mobile products; cloud PaaS/IaaS environments (Azure, AWS); experience developing pipelines for Azure DevOps, including Azure Service Fabric; automation tooling / languages / frameworks including: Bash, PowerShell, Git, Docker, YAML, C#, VisualStudio; cloud principles (security, monitoring, log analytics, alerting, resource containers, IaC, and continuous delivery); design patterns, with emphasis on cloud architecture; logging and monitoring techniques and tooling.

Requirements:

*Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or with Software Development required. Required Skills: SaaS or mobile products; cloud PaaS/IaaS environments (AWS); experience developing pipelines; automation tooling / languages / frameworks including: Bash, PowerShell, Git, Docker, YAML, C#, VisualStudio; cloud principles (security, monitoring, log analytics, alerting, resource containers, IaC, and continuous delivery); design patterns, with emphasis on cloud architecture; logging and monitoring techniques and tooling. Telecommuting permitted. (*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or with Software Development also acceptable).
