About the role

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Sr Platform Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a key infrastructure team member, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our platform and supporting DevOps practices. The ideal candidate should possess a strong blend of infrastructure technical expertise, backend skills, and a collaborative mindset to enhance our organization's efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

What you’ll achieve

  • Platform Design and Implementation:
    • Architect, deploy and maintain a scalable and robust platform infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with other platform and game teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with our infrastructure.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
    • Utilize Infrastructure as Code principles to define, manage, and version infrastructure configurations.
    • Work with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies to automate infrastructure provisioning.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
    • Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the platform's high availability, performance, and reliability.
    • Analyze system performance and proactively optimize infrastructure for efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure solutions.
    • Communicate effectively with team members, sharing best practices, knowledge, and insights.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce security best practices in the platform design and deployment.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies.
  • Troubleshooting and Incident Response:
    • Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related issues, participating in on-call rotation if necessary.
    • Contribute to incident response and post-incident analysis to improve system resilience.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Javascript, Shell, PowerShell).
  • Experience developing backend APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, AWS ECS. Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud technologies (AWS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes certifications) strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a cloud environment (AWS) strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless computing strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) strongly preferred.
