QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Masters or MBA degree in preferably Computer Science or Computer Programming or 5+ years of experience in a related field 
  • Technical Skills:  
  • Experience with Javascript and Node.js 
  • Front end:  Vue.js (or comparable modern framework), TypeScript, HTML/CSS, REST/GraphQL API consumption 
  • Experience with object-oriented development and data sources such as Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgresSQL.  
  • Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot is a plus 
  • Experience or familiarity in AI tooling such as LLM-backed services, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt design, and agentic or MCP-based integrations 
  • Exposure to containerization and cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, or a major cloud provider) preferred 
  • AI‑Assisted Development Skills 
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to support software development activities such as coding, refactoring, debugging, testing, and documentation. Strong ability to assess, validate, and refine AI‑generated outputs to ensure correctness, maintainability, performance, and adherence to coding standards. 
  • Ability to approach technical problems with an AI‑first perspective—identifying opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, quality, or insight before defaulting to traditional approaches. 
  • Testing:  Test first mindset with experience in test automation, unit, functional, end-to-end, and regression testing.   
  • Analytical and Problem Solving Skills:  Ability to critically analyze and decompose complex technical requirements.  Strong problem-definition, requirements elicitation, impact analysis, and solution design skills. 
  • Communication:  Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.  Capable of presenting ideas clearly and effectively. 
  • Teamwork and Leadership:  Collaborative and team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.  Proven ability to mentor, guide, and work effectively with both offshore and onsite teams. 
  • Self-Motivation:  Highly responsible self-starter/team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic. 

 

Preferred locations: MO

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $106,400 to $133,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What is the Deal Configuration Team and why join?   

We currently have an opportunity available for a Sr. Developer on the Deal Configuration team. The Deal Config team owns applications that help support the pre-sales, engineering, scoping, and quoting processes of an opportunity lifecycle with the goal of winning new business.  You will work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team consisting of other Developers, Analysts, Architects and Product Owners supporting and enhancing this set of applications.   

What will you be doing?  

This role uses a broad range of functional and technical skills toward the build-out and integration of custom WWT applications and third-party vendor systems and products.  This position plays a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of software solutions.  This employee will leverage their experience to contribute and help drive complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. 

This role is expected to adopt an AI‑first mindset, actively leveraging modern AI‑powered development tools to improve development speed, code quality, testing effectiveness, and overall delivery outcomes. The Sr. Developer will continuously explore and apply AI capabilities to enhance software design, implementation, documentation, and problem‑solving, while advocating for responsible, effective AI usage across the team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applying and promoting WWT Core Values and best practices. 
  • Software Design and Development: Design, develop, and test software applications and features in accordance with requirements and standards. 
  • AI‑Augmented Development 
  • Leverage AI‑powered tools (e.g., code assistants, test generation, documentation support, analysis tools) to accelerate development workflows, improve code quality, enhance testing strategies, and reduce defects. 
  • Serve as an advocate for AI‑assisted development practices by sharing knowledge, use cases, and best practices with team members to elevate overall team productivity and effectiveness. 
  • Apply AI tools thoughtfully and responsibly, ensuring outputs meet WWT quality standards, security requirements, and ethical guidelines. 
  • Technical Leadership: Taking ownership and accountability of complex technical challenges and providing effective solutions by demonstrating a deep understanding of relevant technologies, frameworks, and tools. 
  • Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews with a focus on quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices, offering constructive feedback. Promote and enforce coding standards, best practices, and design patterns within the team. 
  • Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing including unit, integration, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing to ensure software reliability and performance. 
  • Technical Problem-Solving: identifying and solving complex problems, proposing innovative solutions that enhance product functionality and performance. 
  • Mentorship and Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to junior developers, helping them to develop their skills and navigate technical challenges. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to improve overall team competency. 
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Offer ongoing support and consultation to address technical issues and ensure solutions meet end-user needs. Provide guidance and direction on production issues. Start to monitor and look into support trends that can be addressed more proactively. 
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive technical and configuration documentation. Ensure that technical information is clearly communicated and issues are effectively managed. 
  • Agile Methodology: Actively engage in Agile development practices including sprint planning, story creation, daily standups, testing, demos and retrospectives. Adapt to evolving requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s processes and delivery. 
  • Learning and Development: Continuously learn and understand WWT’s business and technical processes to effectively contribute to and support the evolution of our technology solutions.
