About the role:
As a Senior Software Developer in the Customer Data Platform (CDP) space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you will focus on developing and enhancing scalable data solutions. Your role involves working with Salesforce Data Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud to build and configure data ingestion, data modeling, segmentation, and activation processes. You will design and implement scalable data models, build ERD diagrams, and ensure seamless integration with various cloud platforms. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive the project to success.
Your responsibilities will include optimizing internal processes based on team requests, opportunity gaps, and business requirements. Collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders, you will translate business needs into effective technical solutions, maintaining continuous dialogue with both business and IT teams to ensure robustness, accuracy and consistency.
By designing and implementing sophisticated solutions, this role directly contributes to PDT's ability to harness data effectively, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and ultimately, competitive advantage in the market. You will be adopting cutting-edge technologies and methodologies which will help Takeda drive innovation, adapt to new opportunities, and continuously evolve in an ever-changing business/technological landscape.
This position will align to External Experience chapter of the ICC and initially report to the PDT Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management until the role of Tech Lead for CDP is filled within Takeda ICC, post which the reporting and managerial responsibilities will be transitioned accordingly.
How you will contribute:

• Lead core execution teams, providing clear direction and effective delegation

• Mentor and support junior team members, facilitating their development and addressing any concerns

• Serve as a vital link between the execution layer and the management layer, ensuring seamless communication and alignment

• Analyze and identify gaps in functional/business requirements and effectively communicate this to both Business and Functional analysts.

• Develop scalable solutions based on business objectives, marketing metrics, and tech requirements.

• Assess the impact on technical designs caused by changes in functional requirements.

• Optimize internal processes based on team requests, opportunity gaps, and business requirements.

• Design and implement scalable data models, build ERD diagrams.

• Build/configure ingestion, data modeling, segmentation, and activation within Salesforce Data Cloud and understand the various cloud platforms that Salesforce Data Cloud can integrate with.

• Employ best design standards while delivering an efficient solution.

• Conduct regular reviews to ensure quality, performance, and security.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders, to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all development processes, architectures, and code.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field required. Master's degree in a similar field would be a plus

• 7-9 years of experience on Salesforce Data Cloud or a similar data platform.

• Hands-on experience with all aspects of Salesforce Data Cloud such as data ingestion, data mapping, identity resolution, etc.

• Good knowledge of data modeling and SQL.

• Ability to establish data models, work with APIs, and configurations.

• Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

• Ability to analyze and build automations, write code snippets using SSJS.

• Good understanding of file handling using CSV files.

• Strong technical problem-solving skills.

• Ability to assess the impacts on technical design due to changes in functional requirements.

• Conduct peer reviews, provide recommendations or identify issues, and collaborate well with the team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred requirements:

• Good understanding of data modelling concepts.

• Good knowledge on complex SQL, API handling.

• Experience/ knowledge on tools such as DBeaver, Postman

• Good understanding on the marketing concepts and overall flow in marketing automation space

• Certified Accredited Professional in Saleforce Data Cloud

• Certification on Salesforce Marketing Cloud would be a plus.
