We’re seeking a Sr Designer, Innovation & Enablement who combines strong visual build craft with hands-on experience using generative AI. This role operates at the intersection of creative exploration and enterprise enablement, helping develop how AI is responsibly applied across Visual Design. You’ll set direction for AI-enabled design workflows, lead focused pilots, and partner across teams to establish standards that support quality, consistency, and scale.  

You’ll work closely with creative, legal, product, and portfolio partners to align on approved use cases, governance, and standard processes. This role will be hands-on. You’ll support day-to-day design work through generation, iteration, documentation, and knowledge sharing, while advancing more complex use cases that move AI from experimentation into repeatable, production-ready practice.   

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the exploration, evaluation, and application of generative AI tools to support visual design, illustration, and production workflows across print and digital experiences.

  • Plan and run AI pilot initiatives to validate use cases, assess impact, and support responsible adoption.

  • Develop, document, and evolve AI-assisted design workflows, guidelines, and processes that align with brand standards, accessibility requirements, and quality expectations.

  • Collaborate with Art Directors and designers to integrate AI-generated assets into program designs, ensuring outputs meet creative, educational, and technical needs.

  • Review and refine AI-generated visuals for accuracy, quality, bias, and accessibility through timely design, iteration, and human oversight.

  • Track adoption, efficiency gains, and cost savings, and contribute insights that help inform leadership decisions.

  • Stay current on emerging AI tools and trends, sharing recommendations on opportunities and considerations relevant to education and content creation.

  • Champion ethical, inclusive, and transparent use of AI within creative workflows.  

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in in visual design, digital design, or creative media, with hands-on use of AI-powered creative tools for ideation, image creation, illustration, or improving creative workflows.

  • A great foundation in visual storytelling across print and digital media.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Firefly), capable of producing production-ready assets that meet quality, brand, and accessibility standards.

  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates proven visual design expertise, experimentation, or systems thinking, including examples of scalable or efficiency-focused solutions.

  • Familiarity with responsible AI practices, including bias mitigation, content provenance, visibility, and governance considerations, especially as they relate to creative and educational contexts.

  • Ability to translate abstract concepts, data, or prompts into high-quality visual outputs that support learning and storytelling.

  • Clear communication and collaboration skills, with comfort explaining AI concepts and workflows to non-technical partners.

  • Comfort working in exploratory environments where processes are evolving and outcomes are measured through experimentation.

  • Understanding of accessibility, brand consistency, and quality standards in visual develop.  

Nice to have:

  • Experience in education technology, publishing, or other mission-driven industries.

  • Experience working with or alongside design systems and scalable content frameworks.

  • Exposure to creative automation, UX design, scripting, or workflow optimization.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.  Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$67,000.00 - $87,100.00 USD
