ROLE SUMMARY
CAD Engineering involves development of 3d models from Flowserve hydraulic drawings, CAD Engineering roles usually Communicate with internal contacts such as customer service, sales, engineering, and manufacturing.
Generate 3D model of casting parts from Flowserve´s hydraulics heritage drawings. Responsible for technical interpretation of specifications, procedures, policies, quality, and equipment reliability to concerned parties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements engineering best practices and Flowserve standards, reviews new standards and identifies gaps
- Generates 3d models for engineered products.
- Support to internal contacts such as customer service, sales, engineering, and manufacturing.
- Apply programs & methods of solving problems and modify existing product designs to meet customer needs & to improve product life.
- Work with other Design Engineers to promptly investigate & resolve
- Read and interpret machine drawings and Bill of Materials
- Create 3D models from mechanical drawings
- Create parametric 3D CAD models and Assembly drawings
- Interprets and creates 3D models based on hydraulic drawings of impellers.
- Interprets and creates 3D models based on hydraulic drawings of bowl casing and pump volutes, API classification: OH, BB1, BB2, BB3 . as minimum
- Organizes and updates electronic document management system.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science Engineering degree or equivalent and/or 2-5 years related experience
- Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) methodology understanding.
- High standard of written & spoken English; strong PC skills; additional language skills desirable.
- Able to effectively self-manage; makes decisions around priorities.
- Capable of working closely with internal and external customers (face to face or by telephone) and having good verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast paced environment. Solid knowledge of Solidworks
- Drawing interpretation of English language (familiarity with terms).
- Knowledge of pump´s parts.
- Drawing standards:
- ANSI & ISO Drafting Standard
- AWS & ISO Welding Symbols
- Flowserve Drafting Procedures
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Pre-process Modeling for "CFD & FEA" analysis
- Modeling for casting process (hydraulic parts).
Skills Required
