About the Role

As a Risk Infrastructure Sr Analyst, you’ll help build and maintain the decisioning infrastructure that powers critical business and risk decisions at Happen Bank. You’ll translate business strategies into decision logic, models, and data integrations, partnering across Risk, Operations, Engineering, and Control teams to deliver accurate and reliable changes to our decision systems.
In this role, you’ll support implementation from requirements through testing and deployment while helping improve the quality, efficiency, and scalability of our decisioning capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate policy and strategy requirements into clear technical and functional requirements
  • Design and code business rules, decision logic, and machine learning models on the decision platform
  • Develop test and deployment plans and validate implementations against defined quality and accuracy standards
  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot APIs that connect internal and external data sources to the decision platform
  • Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to accelerate development and improve workflows while maintaining quality, accuracy, and appropriate oversight
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in partnership with Operations, Engineering, Risk, and Control teams
  • Analyze decision outcomes and build reporting dashboards that identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Support audits and regulatory compliance by maintaining clear documentation and evidence related to decision policies and implementations
  • Partner with offshore contract resources to support timely and accurate delivery of assigned projects

About You

  • 2+ years of professional experience in risk infrastructure, decision systems, software engineering, analytics, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hands-on programming experience with SQL, Python, PySpark, or similar technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • You take ownership of your work and proactively identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and outcomes
  • You collaborate effectively across technical and business teams and adapt your communication based on the audience and context
  • You have experience using AI tools to improve efficiency and solve problems, with an understanding of where they add value, where they fall short, and when outputs require additional validation
  • You maintain a high standard for data sensitivity, accuracy, and compliance and consider the implications of new tools and approaches before applying them

  • Experience with decision management platforms or business rules engines such as GDS Link, Provenir, Drools, Oscilar, PowerCurve, SAS ID, or ODM

The above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. 
Time Zone Requirements

While the position will primarily work local hours, Happen Bank is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.
Travel Requirements
As needed travel to Happen Bank offices and/or other locations, as needed.
Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 125,000-147,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of Happen Bank's Total Rewards package. You may also be eligible for an annual bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings).
