Job Description:
Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Exadata) with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will design, administer, and optimize enterprise Oracle database environments that support large-scale, high-performance systems.

Working alongside a collaborative engineering team, you will manage Oracle database infrastructure, support database migration and modernization efforts, implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions, and ensure the security, performance, and reliability of enterprise database services. You'll leverage Oracle technologies and best practices to deliver scalable, resilient solutions that meet evolving customer requirements.

As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Exadata), you'll have the opportunity to support complex enterprise environments, solve challenging technical problems, and contribute to innovative database solutions that support critical national security missions.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer, engineer, and maintain enterprise Oracle database environments supporting large-scale systems.
  • Design and implement Oracle database solutions that meet customer and mission requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret customer requirements to support database design, migration, and modernization efforts.
  • Design and maintain logical and physical database models to support enterprise applications.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning strategies.
  • Deploy and maintain Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environments to ensure high availability.
  • Implement and manage RMAN backup and recovery solutions.
  • Configure, administer, and support Oracle Exadata environments.
  • Implement database security solutions, including Data Guard, Database Vault, Label Security, and related Oracle security technologies.
  • Perform database migration activities while maintaining data integrity and system availability.
  • Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control to monitor, administer, and optimize database environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide timely resolution.
  • Develop and implement database architecture recommendations based on Oracle best practices and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable database solutions.
  • Document database configurations, architecture, operational procedures, and technical solutions.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Ten (10) or more years of Oracle database administration experience supporting large-scale or enterprise database environments.
  • Experience administering and engineering Oracle Database (versions 10g through current).
  • Extensive experience with Oracle database design and data modeling.
  • Experience gathering and interpreting customer requirements related to database migration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Significant experience deploying and supporting Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).
  • Significant experience implementing RMAN backup and recovery solutions.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata.
  • Experience with Oracle database security technologies, including Data Guard, Database Vault, and Label Security.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.
  • Experience performing database migration activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex technical initiatives.

Skills Required
