About the Role:
The India based, remote/telecommute Sr. QA Automation Engineer will hit the ground running and have Expert level Python skills. This role will be critical to the success of Dynatron’s data quality efforts. Your focus will be ensuring our data pipelines, data warehouse, and overall data quality are rock-solid and will support the company’s strategic vision around data. This is a hands-on development role.
Important Information:
- Because we have no office in India, this job will not be a traditional employee role.
- This will be an “Independent Contractor” role.
- No taxes will be taken out because you are an independent contractor.
- No benefits are provided for Health Insurance.
- India Gazetted Holidays and 24 days PTO are included in the contract.

- Submit a technical assessment of a few small tasks and be prepared to speak to your solutions during a follow up technical interview if successful
- Participate in Round 2 (Technical) online video interview between 8:00AM - 2:00PM Eastern Time (USA)
Required Responsibilities:
- Advanced level experience with Python and SQL are required. Must be hands-on!
- Work closely with manual testers and data engineers to define automation test cases for data pipelines and data warehouses
- Design and Implement scalable and reusable frameworks to execute automated tests for all critical steps in the data pipelines.
- Produce data quality reports that can be easily used and accessed by stakeholders
Collaboration and Communication:
- Analyze test results and work with data engineers to determine root cause of failures
- Document Test Plans and Procedures
- Work with manual testers and engineers to analyze current testing processes and suggest improvements through automation
Agile:
- Participate in all Scrum ceremonies
- Create Epics and Stories associated with Data Quality efforts as necessary
Required Skills:
- 5 years of hands-on Python development experience using testing frameworks and libraries
- 10 years experience with SQL queries on multiple database platforms
- 5 years experience analyzing JSON and XML files
- 10 years experience with advanced use of Excel
- 5 years experience testing API’s
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical resources
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of your work.
Additional Qualifications:
- 5 years experience with data quality implementations in data warehouses, including Snowflake
- 10 years experience working with relational databases such as MySQL and Vitess (sharded databases)
- Experience with Big Data technologies technologies is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Hours of Expectation:
- Critical hours to be available for collaboration with US team are:
- 6:30PM-11:30PM IST (India)
- 9:00AM-2:00PM EST (USA)
- 8:00AM-1:00PM CST (USA)
- 7:00AM-12:00PM MST (USA)
- 6:00AM-11:00AM PST (USA)
- The balance of 3 hours each day can be worked before or after core hours at your discretion
Compensation Range: $30,000 (USD) / 26 Lakhs (INR)
