This position is part of the Donaldson Privacy team and the larger Donaldson Legal and Compliance organization – a highly collaborative and effective team that helps fulfill Donaldson’s commitment to advancing filtration for a cleaner world and making a positive impact on our communities.
The Sr Data Privacy Analyst will partner with the Director of Global Data Privacy to define and evolve the maturing Donaldson Privacy Program, its controls and framework for monitoring of program execution, while working closely with IT, HR, Legal, and business leadership both locally and globally to influence strategic business and technical process development and implementation.
While this role is hybrid, this person must be able to work out of our Bloomington, MN Office.
Role Responsibilities:

Work globally and cross functionally to translate regulatory privacy requirements and principles into practice

Advise business leaders on Personal Information processing risk mitigation and Information Protection strategies

Partner with IT Security and Enterprise Architecture to evolve vendor/project risk assessment process to embed Privacy By Design principles and enable the creation of Records of Processing, Privacy Impact Assessments, and Data Transfer Impact Assessments

Support and mature Data Subject Access Request intake and fulfillment processes

Support and mature privacy contract language implementation and update processes

Assist Privacy Director and Privacy Counsel with incident management and any required regulatory reporting

Develop Privacy training and share leadership in the education of business units and functions on critical Privacy topics.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
2+ years of experience as a data privacy professional with knowledge and understanding of current and emerging global privacy laws and regulations OR 5+ years of technical project or program management experience and a desire to learn privacy requirements

Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, or communications or related experience in regulatory/ IT compliance (equivalent years of experience may be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:

Information technology experience potentially including vendor/3rd party risk assessment or Governance, Risk and Compliance experience

Experience in drafting, analyzing, and editing contract language

Relevant privacy certification(s) such as: CIPP, CIPM, CIPT
