The Role
We are seeking a Semi-Senior Data Engineer/MLOps Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our collaborative Data Engineering Team at Proofpoint. This role is crucial in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our machine learning and data pipelines. You will work across ETL, MLOps, and data engineering, ensuring that our Data Mining capabilities are state of the art.
We are looking for candidates with an engineering background (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields) who are passionate about designing and implementing robust systems to support data Mining and Knowledge representation
What You Bring to the Team
As a key team member, you will focus on building and optimizing data pipelines and ensuring the scalability of mined knowledge. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and security teams to enable seamless model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
We need strong engineering skills to design systems that handle large-scale data processing efficiently. While experience with MLOps best practices and cloud-based ML infrastructure is highly preferred, candidates with strong software engineering and data engineering backgrounds who are eager to expand into MLOps are also encouraged to apply.
Your contributions will directly enhance our ability to detect security threats, ensuring that our Data pipelinesare deployed and maintained at the highest standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Design, build, and optimize ETL and data pipelines to support machine learning models and analytics.
• Automate ML workflows, implementing CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, and monitoring to ensure reliability in production.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, etc.)
