TekniPlex is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Data Engineer to support and advance our enterprise data and reporting capabilities. This role is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions across a complex ERP and analytics landscape. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the Microsoft data stack, strong data modeling and ETL experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality, reliable data to drive business decisions.
What will you do?
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft technologies (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, SQL Server, Visual Studio).
- Build and optimize complex SQL queries to support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
- Develop and manage ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources (ERP systems, APIs, flat files).
- Architect and maintain data warehouses and dimensional data models.
- Design and manage SSAS cubes to support advanced analytics and reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through ongoing data quality monitoring and issue resolution.
- Optimize performance of reports, dashboards, and data pipelines.
- Implement and maintain data security, access controls, and governance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
- Support and enhance automation using PowerShell, Power Automate, and other scripting tools.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support ITIL-based incident and change management processes.
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What skills do you bring?
- 7+ years of experience in SQL-based data engineering, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2012–current) and related tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, subqueries, aggregations, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing and building data warehouses and data models.
- Proficiency in ETL development and data integration from multiple sources.
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
- Strong scripting experience (PowerShell preferred).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Infor, SAP, PRMS) and underlying data structures.
- Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Power BI or modern data visualization tools.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms or modern data architectures.
- Experience leveraging AI or automation in data management workflows.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Occasional travel (up to 10%).
- Participation in on-call support rotation.
- Work environment may include collaboration with global and offshore teams.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to think strategically, exercise independent judgment and problem solving; ability to work cohesively with multi-functional development and process teams.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The candidate must be fluent in English with high level communication skills written and spoken. This position will be responsible for coordinating and participating in projects to support USA plants and leading meetings with users and vendors.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to author reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and customers.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
