UCT is looking for a talented Sr. Data Analyst to join us in Cebu!

As a Data Analyst in the Global Quality and EHS department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products/services through data-driven insights and analysis. You will collect, analyze, and interpret data related to product/service quality and EHS, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve overall quality, safety, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Total Quality Management (TQM) systems, Power BI, SharePoint, and other relevant analytical tools.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis (30%)

  • Gather data from multiple sources, including quality management systems, production databases, and customer feedback.
  • Clean, organize, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Perform statistical analysis and use visualization tools to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies related to product and service quality.

Quality & EHS Monitoring and Reporting (25%)

    • Develop, maintain, and publish dashboards and performance metrics for Quality and EHS indicators.
    • Monitor metrics regularly and provide timely reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks and improvement opportunities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable root cause analysis and verify corrective/preventive actions.

    Advanced Analytics and System Integration (25%)

      • Design and manage analytics projects using Power BI and other platforms to visualize and report quality trends.
      • Utilize SharePoint for collaborative data sharing and real-time access.
      • Apply advanced statistical techniques and predictive modeling (preferably machine learning) to forecast potential quality issues.
      • Ensure seamless integration between Total Quality Management (TQM) systems and analytics platforms.

      Strategic Recommendations and Leadership Reporting (20%)

        • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations summarizing insights, trends, and actionable recommendations.
        • Conduct risk assessments using historical and predictive data to mitigate potential failures.
        • Lead review meetings with stakeholders to discuss findings and adjust strategies accordingly.

        Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

        • Strong knowledge of manufacturing business processes including processes, tool, practices.
        • Good data analysis capability to identify issue, develop solutions and implementation.
        • Good interpersonal and communication skills

        Educational/Certification Requirement:

        • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
        • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a data analytics role, background in quality assurance, or a related field is a plus.
        • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint for data analyses and enterprise-level information development and sharing.
        • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
        • Experience with statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques.
        • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
        • Attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
        • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
        • Project Management skill is a plus.
