OVERVIEW
As part of McCain digital transformation, we are making significant investments into our data structures and policies to increase the quality of our data, the confidence of our business teams to use this data to make decisions, and to drive value through the use of data.
We have an ambitious Global Data Governance team, which serves as an enabler to the business teams in our regions and global functions. We are currently recruiting an experienced data governance professional.
JOB PURPOSE
The Data Governance Specialist will follow global processes and leverage global tools to govern data in a way that is consistent and standardized across all regions. As a member of the Data and Platform Governance team, the individual will implement and maintain data governance strategies, including enforcement of policies, guidelines, standard procedures, and ensuring proper communications. The position will assist in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements primarily for Vendor master data to ensure integrity across the organization. This role will be responsible for driving data quality; creating reports/metrics to ascertain data quality and integrity; research, analysis and root cause identification of data errors and providing key design input for application functionality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain master data governance processes from definition through to execution and continuous improvement
- A key responsibility is configuring SAP MDG modules for vendor master, establishing business rules, approval workflows, and validation logic.
- Design and implement policies and frameworks specifically for vendor master data governance in the S/4HANA environment.
- Support the implementation of data management, data governance, and data quality tools/platforms
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and create standard definitions for key metrics used throughout the organization
- Create and maintain documentation pertaining to business processes related to Vendor master data management
- Perform root cause analysis of data issues and ensure remediation according to data governance policies and standards.
- Develop audit and validation methods to ensure quality of the vendor master data using AI-Driven and automated approaches
- Assist with regular compliance reviews against policies and standards
- Identify downstream impacts of master data change.
KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with data management/governance, including but not limited to data protection and/or data quality
- Experience with the SAP S/4 MDG framework-including configuring and customizing data models.
- A certification like MDG100 will enhance the candite profile.
- Preferred: Experience working with PIM, Data Catalog, Data Governance, and MDM systems.
- Preferred: Understanding of CPG industry specifics - product hierarchies, SKU proliferation, and regulatory data requirements.
- Experience harmonizing systems, processes, and/or data across business areas and functions
- Experience developing and implementing data governance policies and standards
- Experience working on an agile team in a virtual, distributed environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and participate as an independent contributor with little supervision
- Experience establishing metrics/key performance indicators to measure business impact and process compliance
