As a Sr. Data Analyst (Alteryx & Tableau) supporting the North America Planning and Reporting BPA Team, you will collaborate with all the departments of Financial Operations and both Franchises to improve reporting capabilities by utilizing advanced analytics tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting operational excellence through advanced analytics, data visualization, and process improvement and should be experienced and skilled in using Tableau and Alteryx. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to convert intricate data sets into actionable reports and visualizations.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Design and develop sophisticated reports and visualizations using AWS, BI, Tableau, and Alteryx to support operational decision-making.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide critical business insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate new data sources and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and automate workflows in Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and analytics.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to automate current processes
- Strong analytical skills capable of assessing complex business requirements from real world scenarios and the ability to translate them into solution design.
- Support in the implementation of new applications / systems focused on optimizing the resources.
- Be in a constant search for knowledge, new tools and technologies and propose improvement or innovation ideas.
- Ad-hoc projects as the business requires
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an operations or business analytics role.
- Advanced proficiency in Tableau and Alteryx.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Innately curious and possesses a solid ability to think creatively and develop new solutions.
- Understanding of data visualization best practices.
- Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills, along with quantitative, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- US Visa Desirable
