Role Summary:
Cox Communications is looking for a Sr. Analyst, Data Analysis to join the Consumer Analytics team. The Sr. Analyst will use data to create, maintain and deliver insights for Cox leaders in support of multiple high priority projects. Responsible for complex projects that require a blend of analytical acumen, independent problem solving, and cross-functional partnerships.
Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis to support key initiatives including lifetime value optimization and marketing segmentation activation
  • Build models that help the company understand the drivers of business performance
  • Identify gaps in data between business needs and current technologies
  • Develops database logic to extract required information for modeling and analysis
  • Supports efforts to distill massive amounts of complicated data into meaningful and actionable insights.
  • Interacts with business leaders to understand key objectives and concerns.
  • Drives successful projects by providing action oriented analyses and a data-driven approach
  • Design, build, and improve processes and functionalities for analytics solutions
  • Prepare documentation, visualizations, and templates
  • Work with structured and unstructured data
  • Demonstrate high levels of curiosity and willingness to explore new data and methodologies, with an emphasis on problem-solving
  • Self-learner and starter and able to work independently after a short ramping up period
  • Use BI tools to build reports and dashboards in Tableau, Microstrategy or Thoughtspot
  • Communicate status, risks, and issues to the management and/or the stakeholder, as appropriate
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field
  • Requires strong knowledge of software / programming languages such as Python, AWS, Snowflake, SQL, and/or Thoughtspot
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
  • Experience in data visualization solutions and data visualization tools
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment on multiple projects


Preferred

  • Degree in related discipline strongly desired (e.g., analytics, math, finance, economics, or similar field
  • Experience developing on cloud platforms
  • Deep knowledge of one of the following core domains: analytics, economics, management, finance, business operations


USD 77,800.00 - 116,800.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $77,800.00 - $116,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
