OVERVIEW:
This is a pivotal time to be part of General Mills’ Digital and Technology function that supports Insight and Analytics organization as we build a modern data and decision platform for North America markets on GCP, and connect it to broader data programs across globally.As Sr. D&T Analyst – DnA, Commercial Analytics, you will own analyst responsibility for Commercial Analytics team. You will work closely with Data Engineering team, the Data Architect, business stakeholders, and central teams to drive data transformation and change management. 
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Partner with business stakeholders and Product Owners to understand commercial priorities and define analytics solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
  • Analyze complex datasets using SQL, Excel, cloud platforms, and BI tools to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Develop and maintain commercial metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and analytical models that support decision-making.
  • Connect data from multiple sources and help establish consistent definitions, logic, and data quality standards.
  • Conduct data exploration and feasibility assessments to determine the best approach for solving business problems.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design, develop, test, and implement scalable analytics products.
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for requirement clarification, prioritization, and issue resolution.
  • Balance Run, Improve, and Transform priorities by prioritizing tickets, ensuring optimal system performance, coordinating with vendors, conducting root-cause analysis, and supporting testing.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support product roadmaps and prioritize enhancements based on business value, user needs, and delivery capacity.
  • Present insights, recommendations, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders, using compelling data storytelling.
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytics processes, products, documentation, adoption, and stakeholder experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from Tier 1 institute
  • 8-12 years of experience (3 years of experience in leading a project or sub-projects)
  • Strong experience in exploring and analyzing large data sets using Excel and SQL to understand patterns, structures, and definition
  • Hands-on experience working with SQL and Cloud Technology
  • Technologies – BigQuery - Google Cloud Platform, ETL
  • Strong Understanding of BI technologies
  • Strong understanding and implementation of Agile methodology
  • Intermediate proficiency working with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Strong communication skills- verbal and written with ability to present complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story
  • Excellent problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress
  • Self-managing, results-oriented, and capable of leading multiple initiatives simultaneously through rigorous prioritization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Agile Scrum master certification
  • Understanding of Point of Sale, Syndicated and Consumer Data

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must meet minimum age qualifications in the country in which the job is located.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree from a Tier 1 institute
  • 8-12 years of professional experience
  • Three years of experience leading a project or sub-projects
  • Strong experience analyzing large datasets using Excel and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and cloud technology
  • Experience with BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform, and ETL
  • Strong understanding of business intelligence technologies
  • Strong understanding and implementation of Agile methodology
  • Intermediate proficiency with Tableau and Power BI
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting complex messages and trade-offs
  • Problem-solving ability and capacity to lead teams toward solutions
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritize rigorously, and lead multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Agile Scrum Master certification
  • Understanding of point-of-sale, syndicated, and consumer data
