The Sr. Cybersecurity Education Specialist is a contributing member of the Cybersecurity Education team, owning and driving various projects and external client engagements. They will regularly participate in instructional design and eLearning development activities that include quality checks on deliverables, troubleshooting course and platform issues, research for content development, monitoring the portal for client service requests and collaboration with other team members.
How you’ll make an impact:

Communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, subject matter experts, and internal parties in both written and verbal form

Perform platform administration on the learning management system (LMS) and content management system (CMS)

Identify and utilize credible, valuable sources for specific topics to develop original content free from plagiarism

Construct clear, concise, and accurate eLearning storyboards and scripts that represent adult learning theory best practices for diverse audiences

Develop realistic and functional simulated phishing templates content on the simulated phishing platform

Execute assignments on time and produce high-quality deliverables based on established scope

Provide meaningful, constructive feedback during quality reviews of content produced by the team

Maintain ownership of client engagements, including kick-off calls and processes, onboarding tasks, service delivery, and on-going support

Create, manipulate, and format context-appropriate images, vectors, and text in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and the simulated phishing platform to effectively communicate ideas

Develop functional, visually engaging, and interactive courses in Articulate Rise and Storyline that contain advanced multimedia, variables, and gamification to customize the experience for the end user

Design eLearning content and just-in-time training content for failed phishing simulations based on real-world scenarios/simulations or technical topics with the assistance of Optiv Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

Actively participate in content translation projects, including submitting content to vendors for translation, integrating translated content, and performing quality reviews of final translated products

Use talent development opportunities to influence innovation and strategy for operations support and service delivery

Produce instructional materials (e.g., standard operating procedures, knowledge bases, guides, etc.) to provide detailed guidance and documentation to team members and the organization

Lead team projects by analyzing, allocating resources, generating project plans, and managing associated timelines to produce high quality deliverables within established timeframes

Identify and communicate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across Services

Oversee the work quality and provide mentorship to Cyber Education Specialists and Associate Specialists enabling them to work more independently on deliverables and gradually take on more complex work

Analyze learning and development trends to develop plans or business cases to implement new or expanded service offerings
-
Collaborate with vendors to communicate desired service/platform improvements and business cases, improve profit margins, enhance admin/user experiences, and execute on projects
What we’re looking for:

Related degree and/or equivalent experience in education/training-related field and 4+ years professional experience in similar role; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Expanded skillset in Articulate 360 suite of tools, as well as Adobe Creative Cloud applications is required. Hourly development rate of 80:1 in Articulate Rise and 184:1 in Articulate Storyline.

Experience in Learning Management System (LMS) administration is required.

Experience conducting simulated phishing exercises and performing platform administration preferred.

Must have excellent written and verbal skills in English (C1 per CEFR).

Ability to collaborate with remote team members, clients, support teams and SMEs.

Understanding of training program and solution development.

Proficient communication and consulting skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.

Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and team oriented, deadline and detail oriented.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
