Job Description
- Trade Support – confirm and verify trades with counterparties, ensure accurate booking of trades, reconcile trades between front & back office applications. Collaborate with clearing /custody firm & trading desk to ensure smooth settlement of trades
- Asset Movement – process wire transfers ACATs, free movements, DWACs and journals
- Monitor, interpret and respond to notices from clearing firm, such as, margin calls, corporate action notices, tax reporting, cist basis, trade orders, trade corrections.
- Process Alternative Investment purchases, redemptions and transfers.
- When necessary coordinate with fund administrators and clearing firm to get mutual and alternative investment funds on clearing form platform.
- Monitor and resolve rejects for trade reporting -TRACE, MSRB & CAT CAIS
- Liase with Account Officers and clearing firm to resolve questions and issues regarding account activity – including orders/trades, asset servicing and account maintenance.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments and trading operations, specifically, knowledge of wealth management and international settlements.
- Proficiency in financial software systems - Bloomberg, Excel, SQL, Pershing or other clearance system
- Understanding of FINRA, SEC and other relevant regulations and an understanding of current industry best practices
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent problem solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Series 99 Required or ability to obtain within 6 months
Compensation:
The expected annual salary for this position is between $75,000 - $90,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
