The Senior Credit Officer of Quality Assurance is a pivotal leadership position responsible for QA review of Second Line of Defense ensuring consistent application of credit risk standards across the portfolio of 

Commercial Solutions Risk (CS Risk). Quality Assurance Team operates within Auto Risk Operations Oversight performing independent reviews of credit Analysis and Review and Portfolio management activities conducted by Credit Officers (I, II, III) and Credit Analysts.  Commercial Solutions is a wholesale lending business supporting 400+ franchised automotive dealers through floorplan financing, real estate and acquisition funding, working capital solutions, and treasury products.

This role is suited for a proactive, self-directed professional who works well independently while consistently contributing to the broader mission, priorities, and outcomes of the Commercial Solutions Quality Assurance team. Key Responsibilities:

 

Quality Assurance 

  • Conduct independent QA reviews of credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring activities
  • Assess accuracy, completeness, and adherence to risk policies, procedures, and standards
  • Document errors, observations, and rationale using approved QA tools and scorecards
  • Engage with CS Risk Leadership Team to challenge findings and resolve disagreements

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

  • Lead and contribute to discussions in Weekly Challenge Forums and Monthly QA review meetings
  • Drive alignment with underwriting teams on QA findings and expectations
  • Promote consistent application of credit standards across the CS portfolio

 

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare and distribute recurring QA reports highlighting: 
    • Error trends and themes
    • Control gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Provide actionable insights to enhance risk discipline and decision-making

 

QA Program Execution

  • Manage the monthly QA sampling and allocation 
  • Allocate reviews and ensure timely completion
  • Maintain and enhance QA tools to support reporting and governance requirements
  • Transition to new QA tool and its reporting requirements

 

Risk & Control Support

  • Assist in responses to: 
    • Internal audits
    • Regulatory reviews
    • Control Evaluation 
  • Support annual QA procedure and scorecard recertification

 

Strategic Initiatives & Team Contribution

  • Participate in QA and broader CS Risk initiatives (e.g., tool migrations, process enhancements)
  • Support onboarding and training of new QA team members
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA methodology and framework

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of relevant professional experience as a Credit Officer and/or in credit analysis and review for Wholesale Commercial Lending, as well as audit, compliance, or risk management.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics. An MBA (Finance) and/or relevant professional certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis and credit review practices, including applicable risk requirements.
  • Working knowledge and experience supporting Business Intelligence tool migrations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities: experience analyzing large data sets.
  • Familiarity with Risk and Control Assessment Processes.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity with an innovative, continuous-improvement mindset.

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. Risk Management helps the firm understand, manage and anticipate risks in a constantly changing environment. The work covers areas such as evaluating country-specific risk, understanding regulatory changes and determining credit worthiness. Risk Management provides independent oversight and maintains an effective control environment.

Skills Required
