The Order to Cash (OTC) process at Yahoo is very critical considering the importance of managing working capital and complex regulations across the globe along with maintaining healthy customer relationships. We partner with a variety of teams such as Sales, Sales Operations, Legal, Tax, Accounting, Audit, Treasury and Corporate Applications teams to make sure the Order to Cash operations are running efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of Yahoo. Customer interactions and relationships play a key role in achieving the objectives of this function, as well as adherence to internal controls, processes and policies, and adherence to applicable regulatory compliance.
The Senior Credit and Data Quality Analyst is part of the OTC team, which is responsible for all the activities related to delivering services to, and collecting payment from, our customers. Six primary teams make up the OTC department - Data Quality, Credit Assessment, Order Quality, Billing, Collections, and Cash Application. The faster and more efficient our process is, the happier and more loyal our customers will be to Yahoo and the company’s future revenue growth. The ultimate task of the team is to ensure accurate data and strong credit risk management to ensure proper revenue recognition and collectability.

A Lot About You
We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and has an analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude. He/she must be able to work independently and also collaborate with others through strong communication and interpersonal skills. He/she has an understanding of credit and data quality principles, systems and processes, which is critical for day-to-day activities and the integrity of our OTC process. The ability to prioritize work, juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines are some of the qualities we are looking for in a potential Yahoo.
Yahoo is a large company with complex challenges and lots of opportunities, and we are looking for someone who gets excited about new projects and can use their experience to establish new processes, incorporate new products into existing workflows, identify solutions, etc.
This role requires working primarily a late evening shift or late night shift, though there may be an opportunity for other earlier shifts depending on business needs., as we are part of a global shared services team and support all regions.
Responsibilities
Review and manage the credit approval of orders and limits throughout the day, involving a thorough review of the customer’s financial standing, subsidiaries, ongoing orders at the line level, outstanding balances, and projected spending, including analyzing estimated annual and monthly budgets/spend using knowledge of standard credit practices.
Monitor and address high-risk elements, such as preparing detailed regular reconciliation reports to monitor self-serve customers, financially deteriorating customers, new customers, credit holds, etc.
Review and ensure the accuracy of business account/ contact records by pulling government and third-party documentation to validate or update legal names, legal addresses, business statuses, vat/tax numbers, mappings, websites, etc. using knowledge of standard data quality practices and nuances.
Assist with bulk data quality management projects and services.
Perform root cause analysis to recommend and develop processes that prevent recurring issues.
Perform internal and SOX compliance testing, including population reporting, sample support
Create/update process documentation as Yahoo processes and products evolve
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
7+ years of proven experience in OTC functions, preferably credit and/or data quality.
Collaborates extremely well with team members and other teams to maximize outcomes for all stakeholders.
Previous relevant experience with full ownership of end-to-end processes required
Outstanding Excel/ Gsheet skills, including array formulas, index-matches, pivots, nesting, etc
Meticulous attention to detail
Experience implementing AI automation solutions including Claude.
Proven experience identifying and implementing process improvements
Experience reviewing client contracts, terms and conditions and contractual financial details
Proven experience working with key controls, internal/external auditors, populations, support and SOX testing
Experience with finance tools including Oracle, Looker, Tableau, Salesforce, etc
